After decorating the black pine tree for Halloween, I've been sorely disappointed with the outcome. It just isn't what I had pictured in my mind. But, it has to suffice. It's been redone three times and still not quite what I think it should've been. From the living room, you step up into the dining room. Off the left, the tree stands. I decorated with Halloween colored ornaments, skeletal hands, multi-colored lights, mini witch brooms, a black and white bow-tie with a skeletal head with red lighted eyes. A white wig and a black top hat for the tree topper. I will show close ups of the ornaments and decorations below...

Goodness, it looks way better than any in the stores! Maybe you cannot be objective because you made it, but it is really artistic and would sell for a lotof money. I can see all the work that went into it.
ReplyDeletePersonally, it looks messy. lol. But, thanks Ginny
DeleteAnni, your Halloween decorations look fantastic. You do go all out decorating.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and a happy new week!
Thanks Eileen
DeleteSo much fun and festivity! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI guess it is festive, but still, for me, disappointing
DeleteWell you might not be satisfied with it but I think it looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann
DeleteWow. Maybe you have to be there in person, but I see no reason to be disappointed.
ReplyDeleteI had it all "pictured" differently than it turned out. Thanks Rose
DeleteAnni, I particularly love all the skeleton things you have in the tree. The tree topper with wig and red eyes is fantastic. To me, the tree is spooktacular!
ReplyDeleteAnd btw, I really like the recessed ceiling in your living room!
Have an awesome Monday, Anni!
Thanks Ron. I think that is called a vaulted ceiling...improves the aucustic s from the tv. lol
DeleteDespite your numerous attempts, I find the decorating quite beautiful! Sometimes we can be our own harshest critic.
ReplyDeleteWith your artistic background, I appreciate your input Steve. Thanks
Deletethe tree looks good to me, i am not good at decortating, and my christmas stuff just looks like stuff when i am done. you have a gift for decorating, you artistic side comes out perfectly. I like that boo and like the lighted topper better than the non lighted. you should have a few children come over for open house, or even adults
ReplyDeleteIt's all just for me & Bud. You should see it when I start tearing it all down....stuff to be sure!!
DeleteMaybe your mind still says, "Christmas tree" because of the iconic shape? Or maybe you need to see more of the black foliage?
ReplyDeleteWell, to be honest, I've always liked the Halloween pine tree. But you may be right saying in so many words, "it's over-decorated".
DeleteI'd love to know what your idea, for the perfect look, would be.........
ReplyDeleteBut then again, perhaps you'd not know, until you saw it. -smile-
It looks pretty cool to me.

Thanks Ms. M
DeleteHow do you keep your resident feline boss out of the wonderfully fun decor?
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
He's a typical lazy Tom cat. Most is just not impressive. Thank goodness. Altho, I still make sure everything is "shatterproof".
DeleteWhat fun it must be to be that creative! I love all of it and I absolutely believe that What's important is that you actually did it. And it looks great to all of us, admirers of your talents.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Inger!!
DeleteI think it is a consensus, we are all impressed. It is the first Halloween tree I have seen and to me it is killer.
ReplyDeleteThanks Patti!!!
DeleteI think it looks great! Love the tree topper!
ReplyDeleteGreat...thanks Jeanette
DeleteI really love it and especially the hands. Very spooky! It's much bigger than I first thought. Really eye-catching!
ReplyDeleteThanks Holly! Very much.
Deletehope all is well your way,
ReplyDeleteI'm watching my fav. spooky movie, BOO-FEST WITH CURIOUS GEORGE. :)
Not seen it! Good?
DeleteVERY GOOD ! I watch it every year almost the whole month of Oct.
DeleteWill find it and watch! Thanks
DeleteYour decorations are just fine. I don't see a tree of that variety connected to Halloween, though. I see a large and quite barren black one with lots of tangled branches with bats and cats and scary eyes reaching for the moon. Oh, and cobwebs and spiders.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, maybe next year!!
DeleteIt's disappointing when you can't get the decorations to look like the picture in your head.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I can tell you did a great job though and with the big day fast approaching it will have to do.
I think Nance might have figured out the "problem". Thanks.
Delete❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

DeleteI love it! It may grow on you. I didn;t think my Halloween in the den turned out as well as I meant it to but then I have come to admire it. Sad to think that as soon as we get home, I;m taking it all down.
ReplyDeleteYa, that's the "bad" thing about decorating...but, Christmas is coming!!
DeleteYou are the first person I've ever heard of having a Halloween tree. :)
ReplyDeleteThey're becoming more popular over the years.
DeleteI think it looks good! You are a great decorator.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mari.
DeleteI'll add my four-pennyworth anni. I think it looks great but I know what you mean when it doesn't go the way you envisioned it. Your fans out here think it looks fabulous :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Denise...your kind words mean a lot!
DeleteWhat beautiful decorations! A marvelous way to celebrate the season!
ReplyDeleteThank you Brenda Kay!
DeleteIts disappointing when it doesn't look the way you want it.. but it certainly does look beautiful and very festive. Enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Judee
