Adding to my collection I start off with one I named, thanks to Cecilia for helping me name her. Last time we 'chatted' in the comments she wrote: "However, my paternal g-ma, Louvenia, could possibly be your MIL's kissin' cousin.
Hugs Cecilia". I asked her if she'd mind that I use the name. I thought it was a perfect name for a witch. LOL She heartily agreed and so I introduce LOUVENIA...
Louvenia is about 3 1/2 to 4 feet tall, with an 'open skirt' to show off her boots and striped pantaloons.
Besides Helen and Louvenia, I haven't thought of any names for the new ones so far this year. If you'd care to help, I've used names like Amethyst, Sapphire, Cyrstal, and Ruby [color coordinated -dressed in purple, blue, white, and red of course] ---Off hand, I can't think of any other names in the past years; just not coming to me right now. That's why I pin their names inside their skirts!
Another new one is large; resin. Bud bought this one for me. I'm leaning on something like Princess of Darkness for her [she's pretty and has bewitched an owl partner in crime?]. She has the demeanor and artfulness of something from Jim Shore, but not Jim Shore. LOL

And my last new one I share today is this one. It's the first one that I found that was black. I did a bit of changing on this one tho when I got it home. Bud agreed with me to get out my fingernail polish and change the lip color. For her ebony skin color, the manufacturer put Hot, Icy, PINK lips. It just didn't vibe with me at all. So I tried to match her fingernail polish on the doll to her lips. I like it much better of course. Now, this one has no name yet either....

The first one is so cute! She looks a bit like either a hippy or a gypsy witch. and I love the name Louvenia. The second one does look a bit jim shoreish. For a name, how about rhiannon? After all, she was a Welch witch.
ReplyDeleteI think that's a good choice.
DeleteI'm loving your witches and you choice in lipstick for the third one looks so much better than hot pink would have.
ReplyDeleteIt does.
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteYou do have a wonderful collection of witches, I like the names too. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a happy new week!
Have a happy week, too, Eileen.
DeleteAnni, perfect name, Louvenia! I REALLY like it because it suits her very much. I also love how colorful her clothing is, and her blue hair!
ReplyDeleteAfter enlarging the second one, I noticed the owl sitting on her hand. I love owls!
That last one is beautiful. And l love how you change things on some of your witches. That's what I used to do with my collection of trolls. I used to paint their finger nails and put lipstick on them using nail polish. LOL!
Have an awesome Sunday, Anni!
I too love owls...hootin' of course!!
DeleteLouvenia does have a witchy sound. Parent who name there kids that should hope they don't grow into their name. (Apologies to to any Louvenias out there.) That one with the owl is too pretty to be a witch though I have met some pretty women who were quite witchy.
ReplyDeleteAs luck would have it, the witchy ladies I meet are not all that pretty. Lol
DeleteYou must have quite the collection already. Enjoy.
ReplyDelete100s!
DeleteLouvenia is the perfect name for Helen's kissin' cuzin'. The real Louvenia had very similar cheek bones, which is hilarious. She also put that blue rinse on her hair like the women did back in the 1960's...The lovely new lady without a name ?? First thing that came to mind was Elvira
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
I like Elvira.
DeleteOh-Good-Grief!!! LOVINIA looks like a plumper version of........... Dr. FaUUUUci!!!!!! LOLLLLLLLLL
ReplyDelete🎃 🍁 🍁 🎃 🍁 🍁 🎃
You mean Dr. FARCE-I
DeleteYes, the 2nd one is pretty!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sure the 3rd looks so much better, with the present lipstick!
She's quite pretty too, and I love her purple outfit.
But mmmmm, those blue eyes don't really 'go' do they? Do you have to get out your paints again, and make the a pale brown, maybe? OR NOT!!!!! -smile-
🎃 🍁 🍁 🎃 🍁 🍁 🎃
Black women have blue eyes. Rare...but, Vanessa Williams is one.
DeleteThey are all sooo different! I must say I like Louvenia best. The wilder looking the better - to me! (I just added a couple more of my creations on my previous blog if you care to go back for a peep.
ReplyDeleteI did see your additions.
DeleteThat is an impressive collection! Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jean.
DeleteLavinia is the perfect name and I do like her the best of these three. She's spooky and happy looking at the same time to me I think it's the colors. That's a lot bigger than I thought she was
ReplyDeleteI have a few that are tall (child size).
DeleteLouvenia is a pretty name for your new witch. A great addition to your collection. The only name that popped out of my head was Leonora. Don't know where that came from. I don't know anyone by that name.
ReplyDeleteLenora...kinda POE-ish. I like it.
DeleteLouvenia is almost life-size!! That's enough to scare anyone.
ReplyDeleteI think Lucrezia might suit a witch. Like a twin for Louvenia.
Devilish name!!
DeleteLove the name Louvenia for your witch. It's perfect. That one does have a Jim shore look to it. I see that last one as Raven or ebony.
ReplyDeleteI have used those two names already!!
DeleteLouvenia is really big! I did a double-take on her height!
ReplyDelete😄
DeleteNever thought Of Naming the witches. The last one I got she was already name...Marigold.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on And Stay safe
I like the name marigold.
DeleteThey are pretty darn handsome witches. I like the cheeks on the first one, Louvenia. :-)
ReplyDelete😊
DeleteLouvenia.... absolutely perfect!!!!!! My mother-in-law's name is Dorothy... feel free. :-D The only trouble is... I'm not seeing a witch you have that is ugly enough!! *bahahaha* ~Andrea xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteROFL. Dorothy....wizard of oz! I like it.
DeleteYou have a fantastic collection of witches.
ReplyDeleteWhat about agnes for a witch name or is that too tame?
Not too tame...I like Agnes.
DeleteWinifred was one of the names of the witches in Hocus Pocus. The other two are sara and mary which are not impressive! I love the name Louvenia. Also Minerva, jadis, Endora, Melisandre and ursula (can you tell I googles good witch names?) LOL!
ReplyDeleteLol with Google. I like Endora.
DeleteLouvenia is a perfect name! Some others I like are Ophelia, Cordelia, and Sybl.
ReplyDeleteOhhh,Sybil is good!!
DeletePoe had a short story titled "Ligeia" (pronounced Lie-JEE-a) about a raven-haired lover who sickened and died. The man married later, and his wife took ill and died, but she suddenly began to exhibit signs of life. As he unwrapped her burial shroud, he was shocked to see that she had turned into Ligeia, alive again. Ligeia would be a great name for a dark-haired witch.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely use this one. I have many dark haired witches...and I love everything Poe!
DeleteA "touch" of lipstick works for all of us.. (:0)
ReplyDeleteThese witches really are moody..Great job and thanks for sharing them with us.
Sue
My much needed makeup would be pancake foundation!! Do they even make that anymore?
DeleteHappy Halloween is approaching.. these witches are just the right thing to say "boo to you"!

DeleteI love those.....I love witches anyway. Those are amazing. Thanks for sharing and for stopping at the blog. Come again anytime.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you stopped by Pam.
DeleteLouvenia--I do so love that. And I like Granny Marigold's suggestion...Lucrezia. And Agnes and Ursula. Here are a few that I also think might fit a witch.: Esmeralda, Fiona, Luella, Theodora, Clarice, Bernadette...
ReplyDeleteI'm writing all these suggestions on a list!! Great suggestions.
DeleteYou certainly have a good collection of witches.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy October.
All the best Jan
