This fountain [previously mentioned in last post] is part of the culture center and kiosk along the seawall. Palm trees line the walkway and flowering plants and grasses are strategically placed with benches and stone paths [sometimes brick here and there] and trellises that have climbing vines for shade. Along the entire seawall [about a mile long] there are also sculptures every few yards along the bayfront and the roofed miradors. I walked there purposely to just sit at the early morning hour and listen to the sounds of the flowing water and birdsong!
Oh that is really nice. I think I would be tempted to walk through it.

DeleteYour photos are ART! the dog sculpture with the sun on his back!!! So maybe the earth is on the back of a giant dog instead of a turtle? And the sun with the palm trees, these should be in a photography magazine. They have made my day!

Temps are suppose to go to 104F. today, I don't think I'm even going to poke my nose out the door, besides it's smoky again with the wind patterns changing.

DeleteHubby is really doing well. Hospital bed is long gone, wheel chair back to the rental place, sometimes uses cane when we are out. Its a matter of time getting the unused muscles strong again. He drove a bit but the muscles really weren't ready so I am still the driver. He does a lot of "puttering" and "fiddling". Dave is a huge help on doing research for our selling things on eBay. We have been doing pretty well but I'm really tired of my dining room table looking like a thrift store. Anyway it really doesn't matter until we have some company...(:0)

DeleteI definitely am taking it easy .. Not as young as I used to be ... what an understatement ... Yesterday ended up being 106F and today I think its only going to be 100F. Inside sounds pretty good to me.

DeleteI know what you mean about birdsong and flowing water. The best spot in my yard is out back by our waterfall/pond area. When the birds are singing and even sometimes splashing in the falls, it's a lovely place for relaxing.
