Okay, so, for the last few posts I mentioned that my last trek around the Botanical Gardens ended at the Rose Cotillion. I've been at the gardens each season, and at times, especially with the drought and extreme heat, they're not too pretty. This time of year, and with all the nourishing rainfall the few weeks prior to me walking around the grounds were a god-send for the roses. They were all flourishing!!! With such a beautiful array of color and scents. And of course, I couldn't resist going over-board with the shutter button...

DeleteJust beautiful. Loved the coral ones the best. Nice shot with the water fountain. Froze the water but didn't lose the illusion of movement.

DeleteWow! I could not pick (pun intended) a favorite if I tried! Although the last pale mauve one is so interesting! I play a game with myself with your Trolls. I try to guess their names before reading them. I have never been right once!

DeleteI love the hair color on your mermaid troll! Who would have thought that one day, it would be pretty common to see such colors on real hair! LOVE the rose pictures. I can practically smell them! I wonder if that pale lilac rose is "Angel Face." I remember when Angel Face was just all the rage among gardeners! So unusual.

I read my blogs like reading your bog now oh my phone because it is faster but I had not thought about I could do that with the comments so if the emails go away which I really like then I'll read the comments on the phone it makes it easy. I don't know why it didn't think about the comments because I've been reading post on my phone for maybe six months
ReplyDeleteIt takes less time! I limit my time with blog reading. This helps. Half the time email server is slower & feed is down or doesn't even read the feed!
Deleteagree on the time thing. i prefer to read on big screen photos look better, but if i have a lot of posts to read and short on time, i can go through all of them in an hour and it would take 2 or 3 hours on computer. the reason i don't use reply is i love pop up when i go to others blogs, it is so much faster, like coming here i had to scroll through 35 comments to get here. the pop up i can pop to where i want to be in one click.
DeleteYou can expand & do rotate screen...making text as large as you want on your phone.
DeleteI use the embed version for a personal reason. Like I said, I make sure I do blog protocol & visit those that visit me...I respond to my comments to know I visited them!
Some roses are stunning to look at but have not much scent. They've been hybridized so much that it's bred out of them. It's sad. Still, it's hard to surpass a perfect rose for that classic symbol of beauty.
