I have nothing much to post. No clever humor, no day trippin'. No recipes or crafts. And, I'm sure y'all are bored with my wildflowers and walk-abouts. I stayed home Tuesday to help with some yard work. And, now out of complete boredom at Anni's Abode [Bud and I worked in the rose patch this morning, ridding the ground of frozen from February's deep freeze Mother-in-law tongue]...ugly, slimy, frozen plants in among the roses, I thought this is a good time to upload the short video of a bird in the pond, bathing:
That morning bath looks a little bit exhausting.
ReplyDeleteIt does, doesn't it?
DeleteHello Anni,
ReplyDeleteGreat video, love the pretty Avocets. Take care, have a great day!
I like their curvy bills!
DeleteHe certainly is enjoying his bath!
ReplyDeleteSeemed to me, a lot of work. lol
DeleteThat was a nice and enjoyable video.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it, Ms. G
DeleteQuite a beezer on that bird and those long legs really surprised me.
ReplyDelete😊
DeleteSo cute! Our backyard pond and waterfalls are up and running now, and it's nice to see the birds bathing. The robins especially make quite a project out of it.
ReplyDeletePond & waterfalls? Bet your yard is beautiful 'bout now.
DeleteI adore the video but could never get bored with your wildflowers and walk-abouts Anni!
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks, Martha.
DeleteNone of us, can have "Adventures" every day. Heck, I never have them! About as adventurous as our life gets, is going for Ice Cream Sundaes.
ReplyDeleteBut I still pound out, nearly daily posts.
I many not go-go-go. But I sure think-think-think. And dig-dig-dig for information. Etc. Etc. Etc.
And to me, blogging is more about us, ourselves. Than about what we do.
OK!!! I'm rambling. LOL Time to close out. >,-))))

My blogging is based on Day Tripping.
DeleteThe birds know how to really get into that bath time.
ReplyDeleteSome surely do. Then, the preening!!
DeleteLove the video clip. I was surprised at how long his legs were when he had finished his bath. Great capture.
ReplyDeleteI sure don't have much to blog about today either.
Yesterday the most excitement we had was the Home Physical Therapy gal taught us how to get in and out of the car so we can start out patient therapy at the hospital. Not too difficult but I'm sure glad to know how to do it properly...since it's just me myself and I doing it. I'm glad I have good upper body strength, especially lifting the wheelchair in and out of the car trunk.
Sue
I wouldn't have realized there is a proper way to get in a car, but now that you mention it...
DeleteI've never seen one so animated before! It can bathe better than I can dance. :-)
ReplyDelete😊🐦🐦😊
DeleteWould you believe this is the first time I've ever seen a bird bathing? I never thought about it, but it would take work to clean all the feathers. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAfter bathing, there is preening!
DeleteI love the video! He is really doing the shimmy-shake! Wish I could take a shower this energetically.
ReplyDeleteLol
DeleteWhoa that handsome bird has a built in spear. I how birds bath..getting wings all wet the beating them against their shaking tail feathers.
ReplyDeleteHugs cecilia
A built in spear...I like the reference.
DeleteSometimes simply being outside has to be enough, doesn't it, my friend. I read in the news that Texas almost had to have another rolling blackout because of a short estimate on how much energy was going to be needed. Egads! I thought of you instantly, Anni. ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteYa. Once again...it was "this close". Like Texas lives & rules in the past.
DeleteCute video - the water runs right off his back.
ReplyDelete...the oil based protective gland, maybe?
DeleteLooks like a nice day for a swim.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Splish-splash!!
DeleteWell, that bird got himself nice and clean!
ReplyDeleteYep.
Deletethat is cool,
ReplyDeleteand thanks for stopping by.
I loved your find today.
Delete😊
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh, that makes me giggle...
