I started decorating the fireplace hearth and mantel first. Bringing out my newly purchased [and from last year, the initial year] stash of ceramic, poseable [posable], elves. They're hard to find around town since I try my best to patronize local stores to keep them from having to be forced to close in this economy. I know that just one person, like myself, isn't going to keep store shop owners from going broke, yet, still, I like to think I am doing something positive. I managed to find some that are dressed differently which is always my intention. A few times, that isn't the case, I like having look-a-likes to make them a pair. Also, I hope for their size. Small, Medium, and Large. Yes, size matters!! If you look closely, you may notice the one on the mantel, in the center, is Santa. But his face is elfen. Afterall, he IS a right jolly ol' elf. I'll share a better photo of him in a later post.

I enjoy looking at your decorations, but we don't do much at all. And that not much at all is about everything, I'm afraid. 😀
ReplyDeleteMy sister is the sane...

DeleteAlas all the stores are going to go broke because I don't shop in stores are online except for things I need like dog food and toilet paper and an occasional Christmas light haha. He's a really cute and I think I know why you love them because they actually if you took off their clothes and put on witches clothes they look very similar to your witches I never noticed that elves and witches have the same facial features
ReplyDeleteShhh, don't tell anybody else, but, I secretly wish someone would make Halloween elves.
DeleteAll of your elves are enchanting and amusing! I love them!!! Your enthusiasm for decorating with them is a special treat for all of your followers.

DeleteI've never seen these before. And good for you, shopping local. It does matter, and I know the shops appreciate you.
ReplyDeleteI hope so. I believe in keeping local shops. In fact, I'd prefer to be out shopping instead of shopping from the computer.
DeleteThe beauty of elves is they always look ready for fun. That is quite a selection and I never noticed before but the ears let you know the fellow is an elf.
ReplyDeleteYep, elf ears!
DeleteHappy December - Sneaky Little Elf's - Be Well Hootin' Anni

DeleteI think it is wonderful you are doing your part to buy from your local stores. They must appreciate every one who walks through their doors these days. The elves are adorable and I also love your seasonal header. Happy December to you Anni :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise.
DeleteA splendid collection to adorn the mantel for the Christmas season! I just hung my lighted garlands outside.

DeleteFirst of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH for stopping by my blog. I left a reply to your sweet comment. Just had to come over and check you out too. Oh my...what a lovely and unique blog!!!! Love the falling snowflakes. And your elves are precious. I've never really seen any like these. Hope you will also share your gnomes. I've fallen in love with them this year. Now I'm off to look around here a little more. Hope you will come back to "visit" me again sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI will share the gnomes soon. They're quite popular now.
DeleteLovely elves.
ReplyDeleteStay Safe and Coffee is on
Thanks Dora
DeleteSandra told me what I had did right after I did it...she wanted me to leave it so I did since it caused her to laugh so hard...so I did. Not so bad when it is someone you know and know well.
ReplyDeleteI left one like that on a blog, and not a blogger blog where I could go delete it...but I left another comment and ask her to delete it...and she did...but said she had did the same thing before, so not to feel bad.
Now when there are mistakes, it is ME that is making them, but when I first got this phone, I would be typing stuff and up would pop even worse than that and it not even close to what I was typing. I wish I had taken screen shots...
