Wassup?

Well, it certainly has been a busy week this past week. I don't feel I accomplished much, yet, the laundry is done, I made a blackberry pie, we went shopping one day, had lunch at Five Guys [the best burgers & fries in Texas]...we didn't eat in, tho. In fact their dining area is not accessible yet. We ordered ahead of time, then ate at the outdoor tables and watched people passing by. Unusual, but still a change of pace. I am done with decoarting for Halloween. It's not all out this year. Just mainly sitting my witches out...Bud said if I put out any more, he wouldn't have to vaccuum but a trail to walk thru. [smart a$$] And then, most of all, I broke down and actually went to a hair salon for a GOOD haircut...styled. Instead of a slip shod job with an 'at home' job. Finally. I just hope the place was sanatized! My short layered pixie style looks so nice right now!!
Okay, I wanted to show you some new witches. They're all JEWELS of the season. [By the way, I can't believe how the dozens of witches in stores here in Corpus sell so darned quickly. The shops put them out on display and they're gone the next day. I saw 6 of them -three dressed in black and three dressed in red around 4 pm on Friday without my card...went back on Saturday morning at 9 am, and they were all gone!]

My precious gems:

Ruby

Amethyst
By the way, Sandra, she was found at our local Walmart. I liked her because instead of a broom, she has a wooden cane.

Opal

Sapphire

This last one is Wiccan I believe. A forest witch, a diety of animals, rocks, earth. I have another one from a couple of years ago which I named Emerald. She too is dressed in forest clothes carrying an owl.  Jade is donning antlers [which makes her a high priestess?  Not sure]

Jade

❤️ Saturday [the 3rd] was the day for the annual 5K heart walk. I decided it wasn't all that safe to be in among the 5000+ walkers with the pandemic still around with 100 or more new cases reported daily and I just know that once the starting gun was fired, the crowds would NOT be social distancing. I was disappointed, but played it safe. I just mailed my check for my yearly pledge and hope for next year  so I can support the heart research foundation by not only pledging monetarily, but getting out with others to walk the walk.

    1. I like the black lace overlay on Ruby's dress...spiders in the lace, with a spider at the tip of her hat.

  2. I think you're smart not doing the walk, Anni... and the witch with the cane is my favorite. She looks more like a disheveled grandma to me. *LOL* ~Andrea xoxo

  3. Hello Anni,

Love all your witches, what a great collection.. Hubby and I love Five Guys burgers and fries too, we ate in the car the last time we went there. It is best to be safe than sorry, this Covid seems to be up and down and all over the place. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a happy new week!

  4. Why did I always think witches had very ugly faces? Anyway,"Opal"/"Sassy" in her ivory dress and silver boots is my favorite today. Yes, I named her too. You are doing the sensible and careful actions to NOT walk the annual 5K this year and I was glad to hear that because it makes sense to me. Show your new hair cut!

  6. I am loving Ruby! Offal is stunning! And I did not like Jade in the full shot of her butt when you should the up-close view she has a work of art. I meant to look around in Walmart and see if they had any but forgot. Did you find her with the Halloween things are in another department. I have been through the Halloween things many times and never seen one but it doesn't mean they're not there
I typed all this, could not post it on my phone, so copied and pasted and emailed to my self, came to the desk top, and copied and pasted... there is more than one way to conquer BLOGGER.

  8. Nice of you to still participate in the charity run by sending your check. That's the classy (and safe!) thing to do.

  12. I do think you were smart to forgo the walk this year..why tempt fate? They still got the charitable donation and that's the important part.
I think Ruby is my favorite witch. She has a lot of character in her face..maybe the nose wart helps.
That's the way we eat out for the most part too. Now I'm hungry for a tasty burger.

  14. Those are some great looking witches. I can't even decide which one I like the best.
I was in Walmart the other day and was looking for some Christmas fabric they had a couple weeks ago and it was all gone. It's not even Halloween yet and all their Christmas fabric is gone.

  16. I like your witches. October/November are my favorite months of the year. Glad you were able to get a haircut! I hate going without one. Lots of rules/restrictions for hair salons and barber shops here in KY.

  21. You have quite the collection of witches!! I love five guys hamburgers but nobody else in the family does. I have been doing virtual runs only even though the real runs have started. Too dangerous.
