Seasonal Decor...

I mentioned earlier, back in August, when the stores usually put out the Halloween decorations, I bought some witches to add to my collection from Tuesday Morning. Then, a couple weeks later, I and Bud went into Home Goods...I had visited there a couple times before...then, they put out a LOT more afterward. I went, as you can see, hog wild with more witches for my collection. There were a couple other women there with the two of us, picking out all kinds of goodies; one woman said to me as I passed her by with my cart holding two witches in the basket..."I'm sure glad someone else likes Halloween as much as I do!" She had three witches and a turquoise pumpkin and a ceramic witch house [I looked at that ceramic one, and put it back up on the shelf - $89.00?!!  I don't think so!!  Not for a house, a witch maybe...lol] in her basket thus far.  One  in particular I fancied 'cause it was nearly 4 feet tall...

Others I bought so far for the 'new year' decorating frenzy are:

and two gnomes

I started putting away the usual decor on the mantle and entertainment center, and then, got into the spell of putting out my collection. Isaiah loves 'em, curious, but I have said "No" twice to him and he now leaves them alone. Oh, to be that lucky with him when I put up the tree for Christmas!!!! Anyway, I'll show you the finished lighted displays in a bit. As soon as I'm satisfied with the arrangements. Happy October to all.  More "new ones" to come later.

  1. Isaiah sure is an obedient boy! My favorite is the one all in orange, so pretty! Hmmm, maybe being pretty is not a good thing for a witch.

    1. Yes, he is easily trained. For a cat. Nothing wrong with pretty witches.

  5. I had no idea that gnomes came dressed as witches or in Halloween costumes... your collection gets larger each year. I also have not know a witch collector before. also since I don't go shopping have not seen anything like these in the stores. remember i only shop WM and i dont think they have witches.. can't wait to see the display with lights... you may have to put a few in every room.

  12. You have an amazing collection. I can't wait to see the final decor.
Collections sure can get pricey...our Disney stuff is the same way. In our old house we had a room dedicated to the "debris" but since we have moved here..13 years ago, most is still in boxes and tubs..a lot will be future eBay..
    Any way..Happy October , tomorrow
