May the 4th Be With You...

Is it just me, or did Blogger change format?  I can't find anything now.  The whole spiel is kattywampus, and it didn't need to be fixed....to upload an image and align it to the left margin is a hoot!  Where to look even, is a search job for the cursor and clicking.  Why?

On Monday, I texted our daughter, Irene, "May the 4th be with you". A play on words being that she is a Star Wars fan, and it was the 4th of May. Later that day the FORCE was there nearby. To quote another movie..."It looks like we're not in Kansas any more"...tho, she lives in Missouri, a tornado ripped by her home...too close for comfort for me as her mom!!! Today, as I type this up, during our phone conversation, she said she's tired...cold wind, and needs to find enough energy to get some workers out and clean up the mess and repair damage to the roofing [or replace it]. Looks like most of damage was trees and her home's roof.   In the first image, Clint, our grandson, is out inspecting the house damage.  I'm just glad to know that the two of them are okay.  Damage to a house, and property can be replaced, lives can't!!!

  1. So scary! It amazes me that even during this scary time, she managed to get pictures, and good ones. She must really be a calm and grounded person. Thanking God there were no injuries!!

  6. I too am glad to hear everybody is okay. I remember living through a tornado once in Michigan long ago. I can still remember the look of that sky. I haven't noticed anything with blogger, but then again, it's been a couple of days since my last post.

  7. tornados are terrifying and thinking they are close to loved ones is even worse. so glad they are safe, hope they can get help cleaning up and the roof is not to hard to repair.

  9. Phew, that was too close and I am sure it scared them a bunch. So happy no one was hurt and what was can be repaired. Tornadoes are so unusual. One house can be smashed and the one next door barely touched.

    1. ...like going down the middle of a street, then take a sudden turn & tear a house down while others are unharmed.

  11. Wowie...so glad they are all okay. Yes, material "stuff" can be replaced but that's hard on everyone too.
The dark and ominous sky in the one photo is really scary.
My FaceBook was all wonky yesterday and I lost everything...Late last night it was back to "normal"...go figure...If it ain't broke don't fix it...every time there is an Upgrade for OUR benefit...haha...things seem to get worse.
Okay, I'll get off my rant soapbox...
    Have a great day today

  13. Yes. Material things can be replaced but lives cannot. That must be scary to experience that.
