I'm an early riser, so during the quiet times before any one else woke up for the day, I sat at the computer and this time around, I drew a self portrait using a photo as a guide. Looking through old photos this past weekend, I found a high school photo saved among all the rest. It was of me in my Junior year. 54 years ago?!! Whoa. Anyway, I sat down and sketched. Once done, I put it on the computer, and then inserted the original photo for comparison. Now, I share it...
Erik left for Houston late on Sunday after a four day stay with us. I will work today on getting the house cleaned and I have to go to the store to replenish food stuffs. Otherwise, I'm back online. Probably a bit sporadic at first...but, back to blogging none-the-less. Thanks for all the well wishes from everyone! Much appreciated, and I read all the comments left for me...you made my day.
You are so good at sketching. This one is awesome and a perfect likeness. Love the high school picture. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh to be young again. LOL Thanks Ann
DeleteThis is lovely! Where do the years go?
ReplyDeleteTime zips by!
DeleteYour sketch has captured it perfectly! Love the hair style! Then and now....Huge difference for me. Not going there!
ReplyDeleteLol...why not?
DeleteYou are like a well aged wine, looking good even if not an untried high school kid any more. I just realized that wine doesn't care how it looks, just how it tastes, but I couldn't think of a better analogy. :-)
ReplyDeleteI say thanks to you.
Deleteperfect! I have always wanted to be able to do this. I even watch a video on youtube, not for me... sadly it has been 59 years since my Jr year but the hair was around then to. 1960 hair.. and I think it is coming back again...
ReplyDeleteI used to rat my hair. Surprisingly I still have a full head of hair. Lol
DeleteYou captured yourself perfectly! What a talent this is! You are so pretty, I bet you had lots of boyfriends. We have both been on blog vacation break...so, after reading about your comments I had to look at your previous post. I am so glad I did! The flowers are stunning! What a treat! And the way in which you snapped them is so artistic, such glorious pictures! No flowers at all here,so this was just what I needed along with my cup of coffee.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the flowers!...I was serious in love with just ONE guy.
DeleteWow, you are good. Didn't know you did people too. You nailed it. Got the feeling your were popular then or should have been.
ReplyDeleteNot all that popular...
DeleteGreat likeness!
ReplyDeleteOh those Hair Days. -smile-
