Got a good reason For taking the easy way out

No Title...Just This and That...

It's been a week of doctors' appointments for the two of us. Me, the cardiologist 6 month follow-up appointment, an echocardiogram and then another lab work done. Bud lucked out and only had one with his optometrist, and today picking up his new eye wear this morning.

Our cellphone service is mighty SLOW since Hurricane Irma, I imagine there are over 6 million families trying to contact FEMA, other family members, insurance companies and contractors and the cellphone towers are inundated and can't handle the onset of usage!

While I am waiting for his appointment, I thought I'd play on the computer...

These photos of the white tailed dear were taken in the first part of August and I'm just now getting them off the camera onto the computer to resize:

...the online effects used are: Oil Painting and Antique Oil

What Happened to our constitutional right "Freedom of Speech"?  Seems Amazon is now deleting all the negative critiques of Hillary Clinton's new book...ya, you guessed it....WHAT HAPPENED?
Seems everywhere you look, go, there are politics involved, and, to the consumer, that's not right in my opinion.  ANY company should be unbiased and let people have their say whether you agree or don't...it's up to the individual and freedom of speech.  This has been deteriorating since Obama's 'reign' and continues to go down hill...more so anyway.  Sad.

Our city is still reeling with clean-up and repair from Hurricane Harvey. Solid Waste management is working 16 hour shifts to get all the broken trees, scattered fencing, and other large items strewn around yards and streets to haul away. We finally got a contractor that we're confident in replacing our privacy fence [from what was a 6' and will be a 7' fence!!] that was demolished the night of the 25rd of August!!! But thing is, we are in line behind many others he is hired on to do the job! Our time frame for this work to be done is the 2nd week of October!! He also told us that all the lumber yards in the city and the DIY hardware/lumber stores are OUT OF LUMBER! Waiting for more shipments to come in by truck and rail! At least that part is done...it's always a long wait, and patience is a necessity! It's the price you pay living in such an area of the nation. Of course, nature doesn't take sides, there are fire hazards in the west, earthquakes, tornadoes, blizzards and such. So all I can say is: That's Life!

    1. Steps to Enable and Disable Google Plus Comments on Blogger
This is what it says to do with Blogger/Google Plus HELP Forum...
      1. Sign in to your Blogger Account and click on the blog you want to include/exclude the Google plus comments box.
      2. Click on Google + link, and then choose to enable or disable it by clicking on the Use Google+ Comments on this blog box.

Make sure the box is unchecked and save the changes!

      See if that works.

AND!! You afterward, you may need to revert back to the "old blogger sytle" by doing this, without losing your blog...

  3. Seems like the people on Amazon who like Hillary buy Kindle --> all 5 star reviews. People who don't like her buy the hardback --> 20 reviews average rating 2.75 stars.

    1. I honestly would like to read it someday, but my opinion shouldn't be used [nor anyone's] to help make a decision. Be like me, and wait 'til it's one the 1/2 book shelf or check it out from the library. lol

  4. Such beautiful edits on your deer shots! Well, at least you will have a brand new fence, and even bigger! I agree with you about the freedom of speech! When I buy from Amazon, I ALWAYS look at the comments to help me decide. This is very discouraging. How did you find it out?

    1. Yes...yes, they should leave ALL the critiques...negative AND positive!!!

I read it on 360 news on my phone app, and then found the same article on yahoo to post the link here.

  6. Love your pretty deer with the beautiful eyes. And yeah, the world is going to hell in hand basket, but I'm still having fun reading blogs like yours. Just think of all the jobs created by Harvey. Sending you some smiles, I've got a few extra. :-)

What scares me Anni, is since the net is used as a source of information and research, it's imperative it's unbiased and offers opinions of aLL angles....
And I'm glad to hear your world is putting itself together again, some things take longer than others.... Have a happy weekend, blessings

And yes, the unbiased opinions should be left alone for all to hear/read.

  11. Your were so fortunate to have your fence be the only issue for you from Harvey. Your enhanced photos came out very nice. Just yesterday a doe and fawn ran across the road in front of us. There are many here and they are very evident in many places. As for politics, I refrain easily from discussions regarding them. The sun is out and the day is nice here. I'll send some good weather to you for your weekend!

  16. I'm glad you're okay and October will be here before you know it. I wonder if any of the relief efforts thought of or have sent lumber? I really hop there's no price gouging going on. I haven't seen the antique oil effect but am guessing it's the last two photos and really like it. Now that you talk about deer, I don't know where the ones around here have scampered off to. That usually means they pop up when you least expect them, not a good thing.
I thought some Trump supporters were posing as Hilary supporters and it backfired, but I didn't read enough to say what happened. I agree with freedom of speech, but isn't it tough when people don't agree with you? I think you have to draw the line at hate speech but then who am I to judge what that is?

  19. Sounds like you have a path to getting everything together after the hurricane.

I am sympathetic to Hillary but it is time for her to stop whining and do something else. She ran a lackluster campaign as basically a moderate Republican and she lost. Time to move on.

  22. The photos of the deer look great, I love the effects you have used.

I think the problem with the Hillary issue is that Trump has openly targeted Amazon as a company so now they are playing tit for tat games with each other. so childish, you'd think that the biggest company in the world and one of the most powerful world leaders wouldn't need to act like such children!

Thank you for joining in with Five on Friday once again, hope you have a wonderful week x
