Looking South toward Old Mexico
As I sat at the covered tables near the beach, I watched the people and sipped from my bottle of icy, refreshing, water. I watched people, through my lens, from so many walks of life. I really enjoy this quiet time after my walks...
From around and under the long fishing pier, the sea was a bit choppy at times...

...the fishermen were beginning to line up along the pier railings [again I used my zoom to move in on the trio]:

my favorite is the lady in the striped dress. i love people watching with or without a camera... i prefer my beaches just like your first photo, me and no one else... except of course Bob. the water shots look so real i feel like i got wet....
ReplyDeleteI too prefer the 'abandoned beaches'!
Delete{{{Big, Big Smiles}}} It is like I am there...sigh...I do miss the beach...but love the mountains...smiles
ReplyDeleteI miss the Mountains of Colorado, but love the beach!!! lol
DeleteReally nice shots, Anni. Very interesting people out your way. Thanks for the idea for a post! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt would be a real pleasure to see the people YOU'RE watching!!
DeleteThe good thing about people watching is that you can do it anywhere. This is a very nice series of beach people. I especially like your shots of the little boy in the blue cap.
ReplyDeleteI was very envious of his long eyelashes!!!
DeleteI love the choppy water and the piers. It is interesting to see how many different ways people can enjoy the same area.
ReplyDeleteIt was a busy morning!!
DeleteOhhhh Anni what great shots of your people watching.
ReplyDeleteThat little boy in the yellow shirt and blue hat is A D O R A B L E!!
Hugs Madi and Mom
PS we have been told by our builder this is the last week of stuff...but we think it will be a few days longer. At least all the demo is over and TOGM can dust off her brain.
Getting the dust from the grey matter is always good!!!
DeleteI love the shot of under and through the pier! Stealth shots! Snapping people while they are unaware! I LOVE doing this, but I don't do it well. Not near as well as YOU do! I love the surfboards and keyboards! And this cute little boy in yellow with his mom. Thanks for letting us sit with you and see the beach activity today! I live very far from any beaches.
ReplyDeleteOh then....come on over Ginny, I'll take you to the beach with me!
DeleteFun at the beach. Appreciate you sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Martin.
DeletePeople watching is great fun and I also love the pier with the splashing water around it
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed being with me, people watching Margaret.
DeleteI love people watching. It's very entertaining. Love all these shots. I also loved your comment on snap edit scrap. Or should I say on Bark Slurp Crunch....lol
ReplyDeleteLOL
DeleteGood morning! You have captured two of my favorite things in life! Summertime and people watching especially at the beach!
ReplyDeleteAnywhere for me to watch people....except for one exception...those crazies behind the wheel driving like they're insane. LOL
DeleteLove all of these candid shots. The water, though wild, looks very inviting. Thank you for linking up with "Through My Lens".

Thank YOU Mersad.
DeleteDelightful people watching photos! Lovely beach! Is it Padre Island???
ReplyDeleteHappy Week to you ~ ^_^
Thanks....Yes, it IS padre island, but not the popular SOUTH Padre Island...this is still the same island barrier, but NORTH padre island...about 200 miles from the resort section of the island.
DeletePeople watching makes a change from bird watching Anni. Both are very entertaining but the way the world is now, I am always wary of taking pictures of people. Birds don't mind though. See you weekend Anni.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I usually try to be careful on my subjects. Don't want anyone attacking me for taking their photo.
DeleteHello, the beach is a great place to people watch. I love the first shot and the little blue in yellow. Great series of photos! Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI too enjoyed the little boy's enthusiasm! He was a doll face.
DeleteThe beach looks inviting.
ReplyDeleteIt is...it calls to me.
DeleteWhat a great place to go people-watching!
ReplyDeleteIt was getting busy just as I was readying to leave.
DeletePeople watching is fun in touristy areas...all walks of life. I really like to see kids playing outdoors and having such a great time.
ReplyDeleteMe too...the very same thought ran through my mind about the kids outdoors with much activity.
DeleteI love watching people at the beach. Everyone is always so in tune with the waves and sun and sand! Cute connector to Through My Lens. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie
DeleteI can feel the fresh air! Would love to walk there (for quiet reflection).
ReplyDeleteA prefect place for quiet times!!!
DeleteOcean/Sea or any body of water do make us quiet and reflective. And when that happens, I tend to watch people and wonder about our lives and this vast universe.
ReplyDeleteMe too...I love hearing the giggles of children playing in the surf, the families enjoying themselves, the quiet reflections of some...it's all a part in the day.
DeleteGreat photos of the water, under the pier and people watching. I always enjoy people watching :) Thank you for the sweet comments you left on my blog recently Anni. Very much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThank YOU Denise.
DeleteI'd love to be at the beach!
ReplyDeleteI remember fishing like that on South Padre Island. I had good luck!
~
There always seems to be fishermen around, and the catching is usually pretty good when I'm around.
DeleteDearest Anni; Oh My, I reminisce my late father used to take us beach and enjoy sea bathing or seashell digging♪ WONDERFUL beach pictures people enjoying summer. And I LOVE your collage as well♡♡♡
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like spending time on a beach, doing just what you're describing!!
DeleteI love people watching at the beach and elsewhere. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteWe have that in common...I too like watching people.
DeleteWhat beautiful photos of the ocean. I also love to people watch. Wonderful beach scenes.
