Strolling Heron

Upon waking this morning...cellphone alarms were going off, shrieking warnings of FLASH FLOODING...then the alarms going off for accidents galore. One semi tractor went off on Interstate 37 and both directions were closed because emergency vehicles could not get there to work on the scene due to flooding of the highway..........such is life when El Nino hits town and decides to stick around!!!

Long ago, before all the fancy smanchy coding for images, the *marquee* markup used to be the only 'slideshow' you could publish. As I said it was long ago. When, last Sunday, we walked the Marina downtown, I had a little fun with photographing a Great Blue Heron, on a shrimp boat, that thought it was 'invisible' to me. Little did it know I was watching its every move...

  5. love the slide show and one of our favorite things to stalk and watch is the great blue heron. they are so funny when focused on fish in the water and their neck darts out like a snake to grab a fish..sorry to hear about the flooding, have seen lots of it on TV but never know exactly which of our blog friends are effected. stay safe
