The past week, I have started and finished decorating the house for the holidays. It took me only most of the week off and on with a few breaks here and there, birding, shopping, laundry, etc. But it's done for 2012!! Starting with the tree. Again, as I did last year, I did the same this year. The evergreen [artificial tree] is all dressed in white and red. The red...simple bows and the tree top is my animated Santa....while the rest of it all is white. From white lights to white and silver ribbon. Added are white decorations from white poinsettia flowers to white Santa heads...along with white dripping icicles, white snowflakes drizzled with glitter. White Doves, angels and crystal snowflakes.

DeleteBet your decorations are gorgeous... I have been decorating this week---but mine aren't nearly as elegant as yours... I am a 'hodge-podge' person and love it!!!!! ha
ReplyDeleteHappy Advent Sunday.

...of course, I'm biased as we all are when it comes to holiday decorations...our own is always gorgeous each and every year. Right?
DeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDelete...I think so too. LOL
DeleteAnnie, your Christmas wonderland on your tree is gorgeous!! I love the look of white ornaments. I keep saying every year I am going to do an all white tree. I never do!
ReplyDeleteI actually thought I wouldn't like all one color lights, but it's quite bright and cheerful.
DeleteGirl your blog and your decorations are just beautiful. I love the month of December - It is just a great month. sandie
ReplyDelete...Sandie, you know how to flatter me. ;o)
DeleteAnni that is a very simple and cool idea for decorating your tree. When ever we don't go home for Christmas our tree is a hodge-podge of ornaments...mostly Mickey-themed. That train is too cool...had one until the dogs chewed it a up a few years ago and now we cannot have anything on the floor under the tree they might think is gnawable!! Happy holidays! Hopefully I will have some snow pictures to display when I get back from Ohio after Christmas.
ReplyDeleteOkay....snow pictures are okay, but driving in it sucks.

DeleteAnni, Your tree is FABULOUS!!! I wouldn't miss Christmas at your house for anything. I always love seeing how you decorate.
ReplyDeleteThis year, since we are moving, we aren't going to have a tree or decorate. :-( Makes me kind of sad. Christmas is the one time I like to go all out with decorations.
Hope all is well with you and Bud. Sure miss visiting with you. Thanks for stopping over at the Writing Nook. I always enjoy your visits.
Blessings,
Mary
Mary, it's so understandable why you're in no mood for decorating. There is always next year.
DeleteI just had to drop over and enjoy this page again. I can't get to my decorations due to technical issues which involve my husband's wonderful effort to clean up our storage area before he hit the road.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anni for taking the time to visit the other day. I was thrilled you came by!
Happy day!
