Out yonder, about a 15 minute drive from home, we took a walking tour of the city's Botanical Gardens last week, and as I stated yesterday in my Botanical Gardens' Shadow Shots ---"more photos to come". Today, it's a few of the colorful blossoms both indoors and outdoors. The orchids and the desert yucca/aloe vera and a beautiful lemon yellow blossom from a desert tree...

MONDAY MORSELS
As you can see, I changed my blog a bit...still tweaking it, and hopefully I can get my Valentine Decor up and running with this new layout. I've been working on trying to get a 'fixed' header that floats as the page is scrolled. BUT!!!! The thing is, I read on Blogger BUZZ this morning that they have now integrated the 'reply' option on comments left!!! It's a very simple fix...just EMBED your comments and switch to a FULL feed. From your blog's admin. Done!! So, now I can reply and there is a reply thread that is in the html text. Finally!!!!
ADDENDUM 2:10 PM....well, as much as I worked on tweaking, I really didn't like the fixed header....too busy and a lot of confusion as to where the comment block came up in the window. I didn't like it much at all. And from what I gather at the Blogger Buzz...there are still glitches in the reply to comments ---when you have a customized blog template [which I do] the scripts are not functioning properly. So, I reverted back to my original xml and let it go at that. Someday, the reply will be worked out to where it all [customized and Blogger's own] templates/layouts will work. I also read in a couple of comments that it doesn't work in I E either. Hmmmmm.

I love flowers.
ReplyDeletewow, I just love all these orchids...the yellow one is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! I enjoy seeing your posts like this when we are covered with snow!
ReplyDeleteVery, very pretty! We love visiting our local conservatory, too. Love your images.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful photos, Anni. We won't see any blooms at all until mid to late April. One thing I will miss about the old house is my garden. No snowdrops, peony or iris at this house. I lost all of those, but am sure I will find something to plant here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. Makes me yearn for spring.
Blessings,
Mary
a beautiful collection. the 4th flower is my favorite, it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love your white roses here as your background. And yes I like what the bloggers had added the reply thing. Thanks for the visit.
ReplyDeleteYellow Sunset
Roses, ahhhhh, sweet roses! Love the florals ...
ReplyDeleteI wish blogger would STOP fooling around with things as I am lucky to just post by myself. Ugh!
Have a lovely week ~
TTFN ~

I just tried clicking on reply to Maydon's...but to no avail. Hmmmmm.
ReplyDeletePrettttty new Blog Look!!!!!!! Oh you are so talented.
ReplyDeleteNot so, I. -pout- :-)
You like to reply/respond to questions asked of you, right in the comments of the post, in which they are asked?
I don't, because I never have time to return to a post (or its comments), after once reading the post.
Also, I don't read comments. I just read the post, which the blogger wrote.
I don't feel one has to *respond* (in some way) to every comment one gets. I like to answer questions asked of me, by email. I visit and comment in, people who do so, in my blog. I feel that is enough.
But some people do feel they *have to* actually respond in some way, to each and every comment they get. -sigh- To me, that makes blogging *A JOB.* Which takes fun out of it. So I don't do it.
For me, blogging is all-about-the-fun. -grin-
Just my views on the topic. I'm sure it's ok to leave them.

Oh and....... That "reply" thing, shows up in my blog comments... Without my doing anything.... It's there, even though I don't want it there. -grin-

ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. Nice variety.
ReplyDeleteI love that third shot - beautiful and soft!
ReplyDeleteSo far I love the Valentine decor. I would, I'm a Valentine baby. :)
I think your hearts look like fine pieces of diamond jewelry.
I had to smile at 'out yonder'. I grew up in West Virginia saying yonder. When my son was a teenager (we lived on the east coast of Virginia at the time) he asked me where is yonder. To this day he doesn't appreciate the word. :)
I like your new blog design just like it is. Really pretty hearts and snowflakes!! The embedded comment form is always causing trouble and not working. A lot of people had to change to another format because followers were not able to comment on the embedded. The flowers are beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots!
ReplyDeleteHappy MM to you Anni.

ReplyDeleteAh, Anni, seeing those flowers do the heart good...this Canadian gal is tired of seeing only snow! lol Wish we had a Botanical Garden nearby but unfortunately the nearest one is about a 5 hour drive away.
ReplyDeleteI love your Valentine decor, you always do such a wonderful job:-) I haven't even checked out the Comment Reply thingie yet, I guess I need to figure that one out. I'm not as good at tweaking as you are! lol If you hear "HELPPPP" you'll know it's me!! xoxo
'Just makes me all warm and tingly to see all these beautiful blooms. Not to mention just a little anxious for spring to arrive! Heeehehe!

With a shirt of blue,
Strolling on the Malecón —
I wish I were you;
Carefree and content,
Nothing much to do,
Chillin’ in your bright red shorts
And your shirt of blue.
