I once was a fanatic for Bobby Vinton. From decades ago. You wonder what ever happened to him? Oh his voice, so soft and melodic. Just making us girls swoon with each and every love song he recorded---

A long long time ago
On Graduation Day

You handed me your book

I signed this way:

roses are red, my love--

violets are blue...

...sugar is sweet my love
But not as
sweet as you---

  5. I love Bobby Vinton...my parents took our daughter to Las Vegas years ago she was about 17. Bobby Vinton was performing at one venues...they saw him...she was on the front row he shook her hand...I begged her not to wash it until she came home. LOL
She said what is the big deal? Teenagers can't live with them can't live w/o them
Thanks for the Memories...Great pictures too

  8. Oi, Anni!
São doces recordações embaladas por esta linda música... É sempre bom este olhar para trás e constatar como o tempo passa depressa e também é gratificante ver a realização e sucesso alcançado pelos filhos.
Que Deus abençoe grandemente sua vida e sua família!

  9. One of my favorite songs and singers ever - call me old and out of touch, but "they just don't make or sing songs like they used to!"

  11. Beautiful photos, Anni, and yes, I remember Bobby Vinton's Roses are Red. It was a great hit back then and all the girls swooned over him.

My wish for you and Bud in the New Year

May peace break into your home and may thieves come to steal your debts. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for $100 bills. May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips! May happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy! May the problems you had, forget your home address! In simple words may 2011 be the best year of your life! Happy New Year!

  13. Of course I remember this song, Anni. I was in high school and college in the 60s.
I love how you've illustrated it, with a graduation, a book, red roses and a blue violet. Wonderful.
