Next week "colorful"

First off, before I type about my 'dark' that I chose for the week's prompt....
I want to say that last week I had a lot of enjoyment viewing so many beautiful clouds! The subject was awesome. I was blown away with so much beauty and awe!! I commend Ms. TNChick for the foresight in picking last week's subject. Of course, I've never ever been disappointed in her work at all...I truly appreciate everything she does to keep us happy and satisfied. Totally. It's just that the previous week, was just downright inspiring! Great job people.

Okay on with my DARK side photo.

I swear she knows she's dark in color. You don't know how many times she lays in a dark area of our home where there is no light and more times that I'd like to admit we trip on her or stub our feet against her. You'd think she'd wise up and lay in the light of the window, OR the electric lights....but nope!! No sir. [by the way - her favorite snoozemobile is the black leather furniture! She has the experience of a human butt coming her way!] One night this past week, when we went into the living room from dinner in the dining room, as I was getting ready to turn another light on in the house, I heard a rustle....I left the area dark and stood and listened to locate the peculiar noise. Then, I heard a faint 'meow'---innocent of course. But she was found...I grabbed the cellphone out of my pocket, left the corner dark and snapped this ---Earlier in the day I went to the craft shop to get me some fiberfill for my Autumn crochet project...left it on the floor, in the corner, thinking it'd be out of our way when we'd go into the living room that night. Our little Tahoe [The ho for short] is DARK in coat, but she also, I think, has a dark, sinister side of her. She's desperately trying to kill us in the dark!!! I must now keep plastic bags up off the floor or on furniture when I leave a room. Dangerous for my kitties!! Who'dda thunk it? I guess, come to think of it, I should've known better.

  2. I was tempted to use our late Bramble as a 'dark' - they didn't come any darker for looks. You can see what darkness I did go for.

  3. Oh she is adorable! How could you possibly think she had a dark side :) Now ours, who wanted to play at 4 a.m., he has a dark side!

  4. Hiding in that plastic bag, I would have stepped on her accidentally or just throw it into the rubbish chute! *shudders*

  5. Totally loved your running commentary! And that little monkey (I mean cat) of your is such a cutie! I'm sure you can't be mad at her for too long! But I'd definitely re-consider where I drop/stash plastic bags!

  6. I loved last week's cloud theme, too.

I sure wish I had dark furs so I could find a dark spot and become invisible, too! That's a neat trick.

  7. Nice Shot! Made me laugh, and I also thoroughly enjoyed your post... I have yet to meet a cat that doesn't like plastic bags (or boxes of any size & shape) LOL!!

Hi Anni, I love cats and will get myself one when I no longer own three birds..Cats are so mysterious..and fun..and they love bags to climb into ..my daughter's cat loves to eat ribbons off of packages, but this makes him throw up..another daughter owns three cats , plus a dog who all live in the house..where would people be without their animals.??

  27. Cool pic. Cats can be so sinister at times. And creative. We once had a cat that would always hide when it heard us coming. Then when we got in range it would pounce and give us a quick tap on the legs (no claws of course) and turn and run. She inherited the name 'Tagurit' which always raised a questioning eyebrow at the vet when they would read it until they said it out loud.

Fun post for the theme. Bet my 'cat' outweighed you cat, lol.

  28. A bag or box, a drawer or open door will always lure a cat into them! Irresistable! Tahoe is lovely!! I'm quite certain she is not sinister!

  29. Can we all say AHHHHHHHH. I have a daughter with a totally black cat --- thankfully he prefers to be in the middle of her leather sofa preferably on top of the newspaper.

  30. Ah! But she clearly HID in plain view this time! Now, had Winston been in that bag, you might have missed him altogether! That was a great take on today's theme!

  36. I concur with your opening statement about TN Chick ... I've thoroughly enjoyed Photo Hunt since joining a few months back. Love this wonderful 'capture' of Tahoe in the light bag and dark background. Once again we were thinking along similar linez ... I used Ms Kitty at Small Reflections and something different at Sacred Ruminations ... playing TWICE today, just because.
    Hugs and blessings,

  48. I have 33 cats...yes 33, so they are into everything! Nothing they do anymore surprises me!

All are clean, spayed/neutered, no fleas, no worms, no diseases, and clean!!! I have them separated....12 ferals in my large laundry room, 8 here in my office, and then 13 in my actual living areas. So it's not as bad as it sounds. Most all are rescues that I have saved. I love 'em all!!! To tell people I have 33, I know the first thing they think is that I am dirty and my house smells.

Well, I have white carpeting and no shoes come through my door unless they are in someone's hand! No shoes are allowed anywhere in my home. And I use nothing but Fresh Step scoop litter and have no odor whatsoever! I work from home so I am here all the time with them to scoop every hour, so my home is spotless. They are so much company! I have just 2 black cats out of the entire bunch! They are mysterious like yours. Your kitty there looks so cute in that bag. Wonder why they like crinkly things like that?

    Have a great Sunday!
