A Bit O' Blarney, Hootin' Anni Style

Tuesday, it was another overcast, chilly, day. I stayed home in the morning and brought out my St. Patrick's Day decorations and passed the time putting them out on the dining room table, hutch and living room coffee table.  Better than having  the TV on and reading online news about the Cuomo Scandals, Trump, Stimulus Fiasco thru the Senate, Covid, Tiger Woods, this food is lethal - don't eat it!, and all the other controversial articles that they force on a person.  So, to share a bit of Blarney with y'all, I will post what I put out for the month...
The little Leprechaun in front was made by me
several years ago with wooden balls and felt.

The sun finally did come out by late afternoon. Hopefully, I will be able to go walking in the sunshine, and sing a little sunshine song today!!!

  1. The party is also receiving more and more attention in the Netherlands. Especially in Amsterdam it is celebrated in many places, but other cities also participate. For example, the Grote Markt in The Hague has been turning green on 17 March for years. On that day many performances by Irish dance and music groups are organized. Of course, these performances are often watched while enjoying a glass of whiskey or Guinness.
This year will be nothing ... corona has thrown a spanner in the works!
    You have decorated very nicely!

    1. As below, our county will even hold the Buc Days which is a huge mass gathering in the coming months. I don't see the logic in this move at all.

  2. I love all your decorations. Putting that stuff out was way better than reading the news.

  3. Hello Anni,

I love all the St. Patrick's Day decorations, they look so pretty. It is cold and windy here, too cold for a walk outside. Take care, enjoy your day!

  4. Anni is this true? Would you please answer me on my blog ?! Please!
    Thank you!

    1. Ella, to answer your question...yes, it's true. Our Governor lifted all mask mandates and opened the state to 100%...an idiotic move if you ask me. I will continue to wear my mask for as much protection as I can.

    2. Thanks for the reply.
      I agree with you 100%!
      Take care of yourself!

    3. I think by doing what he plans to do all the precautions taken beforehand will be of no use.

    4. I haven't heard that we have to follow bad advice. We can keep wearing our masks. Stay safe!

  6. I love your decorations. You are always so festive! I finally had to turn the news off, just can't take it anymore. I hear your governor is as stupid as ours, I always knew it. It makes me sick!

  7. Your St. Patrick's Day decorations are absolutely gorgeous, Anni!! I love everthing!! Yes, the news is toxic! They've moved on from Trump and are now focusing on Biden. He's done enough already to warrant being in the headlines for at least 4 years. *haha* Same sh*t, different day! :-) ~Andrea xoxo

  10. I am a lover of all-things Blarney! And this is really pretty and I like all of it and the little known that you made is adorable. And I thought of you and Jenny yesterday when I shopped at Walmart because gnomes are everywhere and I saw a couple of really cute ones. I agree with you about the stuff that's on the news and they keep talking about what you named over and over and over and over

  14. Glad you have your St. Paddy's day decor out! I LOVE that little Leprechaun gnome you made! Don't look at the news, they will probably be talking about "cancelling" St. Paddy's or somesuch. Or saying don't eat cabbage or potatoes!

  15. OH, this is all really lovley! I especially like the little shamrock pitcher, that is my favorite. Your short synopsis of the news is hilarious, and correct!! It gave me such a laugh.

  16. What darling decorations Anni. I'm afraid I don't do any decorating but sure enjoy seeing yours. I try not to listen to any news now..it's just one thing after another and none of it's good. Hubby and I have been working in the yard..so much better for the mental attitude.

  19. Oh, Annie. Our governor is an idiot! We're finally getting the number of cases and hospitalizations down and he goes and takes the mask mandate away... and opens everything up 100%!!! What is he thinking with Spring Break and Easter coming up?? There must have been some kind of political pressure that he's bending to... as it makes no medical or scientific sense.

  21. Love your greens! Very festive for the day. The media focuses on all of the bad and ugly, forgets about the good. For our own sanity and safety we need to keep our hearts and minds on all that is positive, mentally and spiritually and do what we can to stay safe. Happy March ~ FlowerLady
