Painting....

Bud and I have been on a shopping spree for Halloween! A few times already I have bought some new to add to my collection. Actually, through the recent years, I spend more money on Halloween than any other day of the year. Yesterday, both of us went to a 'new' store we hadn't been into...it's out of the way for us, for one reason. Word of mouth told us to check this place out. We found a tiny displaying of Witches, Gargoyles, skulls, black cats, pumpkins, etc. But really nothing much I don't already have. This store had more Christmas than anything. I did, however, find a Forest Witch. They're good witches. And this one is quite pretty if I say so myself  [I took photos when I got home...they're on my phone yet...will send them to my email for Blogger in a day or two]. Then, Bud picked out two gnomes and another elf for my Christmas collection that I started last year.
I am just about ready to begin October....my favorite "season"! In the meantime, I'll share a painting I did years ago. I've shared it before, but it's become a bit of a traditional post. I painted, Bud made the frame...

  2. It's a great painting. We have a Halloween store about a half hour away from here. I've never been in there and I can't even remember what it was called.

    1. I'm not sure what she is really. She was displayed in all the Halloween gadgets & goodies. What I've been finding online, she may be a ecican deity.

  10. I'm so glad you visited my blog and commented. When I landed here your Halloween decor grabbed me right away. It's my favorite holiday. When the kids were little I decorated like crazy for Christmas but Halloween decor has always been for me. Maybe because I was born in October. Maybe because it can be scary or not. I love the scary. I have always wished I was artistically talented. But I believe everyone has a talent and should embrace it.

  11. I'm always surprised at how big of a deal Halloween has become. It used to be a kid holiday and not much of a thing when we were younger. Now it's on par with Christmas.

  15. It appears you have mastered the new blogging. Wish I could. It takes me awhile to do one. I wasn't taught anything but just the basics and do the same thing each day. Not now tho. I wish I knew more and and understood what you do.Love the kitties. One that looks just like yours has come to my house and eats. It is so cute, but cannot touch it. Enjoy the fall days.
