Artwork Puzzle...

Bud, I [and Ella] finished one of the three jigsaw puzzles we have on hand. It took us about a week's time, off and on during the days. Did I mention that jigsaw puzzles are very scarce these days in stores? I know I can do them online, but I am still 'old school' enough to enjoy the hands-on type. This one is a pretty one, and there is something I found in it when I was checking the poster [what I call an idiot's cheat sheet]. I will share the 'find' in a bit.

Here is our helper, but she got bored quickly and left to take a long nap...

...and the finished puzzle still left on the puzzle table [top image in the series below is the 'idiot's cheat sheet'], before we tore it apart and packed it away to begin a new one for next week.

Then, as mentioned above, while making use of where a certain piece would fit, I really searched close and with a detective's eye. I spotted something that neither Bud nor I saw the whole time we worked on it. There seems [at least to me] a hidden object in the picture. Like a Bev Doolittle painting!! [she's one of my favorite artists!] Do you see it? Look closely. I notice another donkey [or perhaps a mule?]  Look above the horse's eye and harness...one of its ears is also another ear of the mule.  See the eye of the mule and the nose and other ear to the right?  Or is it my imagination gone amok?

  1. Shoot.... I don't see the extra mule, Anni. I wish I did. I'm really bad at hidden pictures and always have been. Takes me a long time to see what others catch in a heartbeat. Hubby & I dropped off half-a-dozen really nice puzzles at the nursing home in the next town over, a couple months ago. If I had known I would have kept them & mailed them to you. I'll keep my eyes open for some good ones. I had no idea there was such a thing as "online puzzles". I'm not sure I would like that. I think I'm old school too! :-) Love, Andrea xoxo

  2. I looked long and hard at the cheat sheet picture and couldn't see anything that looked like a donkey. But in the next picture when I was looking in the right place I do see what you mean. It does look like a donkey in there.

  3. Maybe. But the puzzle picture itself could have lots of hidden things in it, just by its nature. It's your imagination, methinks. :-)

  4. the cheat sheet just looks like a photo to me, and would not help, can't see the donkey. I do agree it is a beautiful picture when finished.. doesn't matter if it is your imagination or not, it gives you something else to do. first you did the puzzle, then you fiddled with trying to decide then you took phoots and then you created the post and now your can read our comments. yay by the way, I stopped reading this post and looked up the fort myers fire and it was 3500 cars that burned.

  5. Yes I do see the mule or donkey! I have a neighbor who has an entire room and it is dedicated to puzzling. She specializes in cats, horses, flowers and they are all wonderful!

  6. That looked like a really hard puzzle with so many areas of the same color. I really tried but didn't see the mule.

  7. Wow, it must be your birdwatching expertise that you spotted this. Very cool! This puzzle looks like it would be hard to work, too.

  8. Fantastic puzzle...so beautiful.
That one ear does look as if it doesn't quite belong but the longer I stared at it seemed to transform itself 🌷

  10. Yes, I do see the smaller, almost hidden, mule. I wouldn't have seen it without your clues, however. I love the puzzle. It would be hard for me to put this one away.

  11. I can't see the extra mule, but then I am never good at spotting things like that.

  12. My daughter has been doing puzzles during this time and also had trouble finding some. I agree that doing them online is not the same.
    I can't find the other mule... :(
