Got a good reason For taking the easy way out

All Around Town...

...and beyond.

This will be a quick post and not much gabbing from me for the moment. I'll just describe the photos and then, let you go on with what you were doing---

Adobe Privacy Fences are 'the norm' for the ritzy area of town. This particular photo was taken along Ocean Drive. Yes, named so 'cause the Gulf of Mexico is their back yards here...

During bird migration, we try to make a trip to Mustang Island a couple days a week. The day these were taken, it was along the Ship Channel that cargo ships use to get into the Port of Corpus Christi...some, 20 miles long [just a guesstimate on my part]. When the ships depart from Corpus, heading out to sea, the ships' bows, if you watch closely, are always active with the quirky fun loving dolphins, escorting them safely out to open waters. Also, the couple of photos of the waves are the bow's wake that washes along the jetties. If lucky, you can spot dolphins playing along the jetty also---

...and the other day, while trekking along Indian Point Trail, the pathway was brilliant with Texas' Firewheel blossoms!!!

  9. Gaillardia is gorgeous, but nothing beats dolphins; sorry!

Funny story: The folks took me to Sea World shortly before my graduation, and whilst there I was walking around one of the dolphin tanks with the glass sides. It wasn't long before I realised a large group of folks had seated themselves and were pointing at me, laughing and applauding. I quickly reversed course, heading back for Mom and Pop, when the people got even louder and more enthusiastic. When I got back to the folks they were laughing so hard tears were streaming down their faces... it seems all the dolphins in the tank started following me. When I moved, they swam along, when I stopped they did too, and when I reversed course, so did they... and I hadn't noticed a thing! Apparently the people watching thought I was a 'warm-up' for the actual show, lol.
