Come Into My Parlor Part II

Just a brief note...the Autumn Showcase meme party has two new links that have been added this week by  other bloggers.  Do consider joining in anytime!!  [Link is found above near the top of my blog]

Now...a 'ghostly' white bird!...

...and then, some more seasonal decorations...

Again, I'm combining this year the Day of the Dead and Halloween.  This small figurine couple was found at Michael's Craft Shop.  They had several to choose from, but I picked this one because it is the bride and groom couple instead of just one single figure. I kinda like the shadow it creates against the wall. This couple is sitting on the corner trio of tables along with the two I purchased last year through Amazon. One, I posted about, here.

Along with this, the seasonal colors. Tho there are never many changes of color this time of year around here along the coast, even the grasses [wild and lawns] rarely turn brown and go into dormancy. But, if I look long and hard I find some diversity from the equinox shift!

...but most of the foliage and flowers found in our yard are year 'round and perennial. Except for a few artificial mums of yellow and orange and red indoors, you wouldn't know it's Fall [except for the drier air...finally!!]

...the colors of Autumn, Leaves, mums, cattails, Day of the Dead Nutcracker, and pumpkins can be spotted in every nook and cranny in the two main rooms of our home this time of year...

  18. Love the egret! You certainly have some different decorations for your "celebrations" of those two events. The shadow behind the bride and groom is great...as if you have your own personal ghostly couple visiting!

    1. Yes, I think the shadow is more eerie than the resin couple itself.

  42. Tell you what Hootin' Annie ... I think you do an amazing job of making your home into a Day of the Dead and Halloween gallery. I admire your interest and your committment to this wonderful project. I seem to have lost my enthusiasm for this and even other holidays since my Granddaughter is off to college and there are no youngster around to celebrate with. I put out a few things on the porch for the few trick or treaters that we get, but that is it. I have to say I miss the excitement of it all when I see how you are attacking it full force, but I seem to be pulled in many other directions so it will slip by me this year and probably in future years. That said ... I am enjoying your enjoyment of it and I have a freind who does the same thing and I love it. Good for you!!! I guess I really am an old poop about some things even though most of the time when I say that I am kidding. Now before I forget ... I love the pictures of the Snow Egret. They are truly magnificent birds and great photo ops if you can catch them ... and you did :) Enjoyed your post and look forward to more fall, Day of the Dead and Halloween as a spectator.
