Got a good reason For taking the easy way out

Whispers of the Morning...

Early in the morning, walking along the path of Indian Point Park in Portland, Texas [on the bay between Corpus Christi and Portland], the colors are beginning to pop out from the dreary wintry blanket of brown and dullness...the juniper bushes are getting new growth, and below their protective covering, the Spring Flowers are coming into bloom.

The bright low sun surfacing on the horizon, the water current creating a tiara of diamonds, the birds singing in the whispers of the morning air...the blues, the lavenders, the oranges, the mellow yellows and the undying shades of green...all encased in the memories of a photo album.

  1. The blanket flower is beautiful! Do you know what the bright blue ones are? They are a gorgeous color that is not common.

  3. Your last paragraph is lovely, as are the pics. It's hard to believe the flowers are already starting to come in, but we see it here, too. Hopefully we'll get some more rain to help them along!

    1. Ya. How many times has it "threatened" to rain, but it all just moves northward toward Houston without giving us our fair share? Thing is, I feel it's due time we are hit with a tropical storm or worse this year...just hope we don't get THAT much rain and wind all at once.

  11. yes, Spring is coming....we saw a little Squirrel Hanky Panky on Saturday morning and the Wren is building a nest in the canopy over the little pond...I can just barely see some tiny buds on our Maple Tree...I'm ready for Winter to be over but not ready for Tornado season...

  15. We missed that snow as it went to the west and up north. We need moisture so bad here but it seems to go around us.
I enjoyed your photos and I am hoping for spring soon also.
I am afraid that if we don't get some type of moisture our spring will not be to pretty.
