“A wise old owl lived in an oak;
The more he saw the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he heard...
Why can't we all be like that bird?”

When you gonna let me get sober?

The Picstory Challenge this week at Tina's Picstory is "feet". Well, the bottle of Cherry Wine Bud and I decided to try, after it was emptied, I saved and washed it out. Painted it a bloody red and let some black paint drizzle down the sides from the bottle-top. Then, I decorated it. I went to Hobby Lobby and the Dollar Store. At Hobby Lobby, they had their CHRISTMAS decorations and craft items at 40% off [Halloween was full price...hmmm]. Of course, I wanted something with red and black, so I 'lucked out' with the Christmas stuff...I found a red berry and black branch decorating pick along with black ribbon with added red sequins!! At the Dollar Store, I picked up a card of plastic skeletons. After returning home, I drew a 'ghostly spirit and barren black tree on a packaging label to make the bottle's label. Y'all know by now how I really get into the 'spirit' of Halloween...so, my wine bottle is CRIMSON SPIRITS....

...and naturally, I show off the skeleton's FEET, just for Tina

  9. Interesting work on that bottle...I simply can't get into the decorating mood this year. I am still trying to adjust to the new "normal" around here. We aren't even doing our annual train and Christmas House display this year. Just can't get the energy to do it alone, and it usually takes a total of 200 man hours to put it up. So, we will just have an open house, with minimal decorations. I will just have to enjoy everyone else's!

  11. Hello dear Anni:-)

    I was out of town for my son's wedding and had an absolutely fantastic time but it's good to be back home now and get back into a normal routine! It's a good day to stay inside and visit my friends, cold and rainy out there!!!

    I just LOVE what you did with that bottle of wine, leave it to you to turn it into a bottle of spirits! hehe The label is awesome, you always do such a wonderful job with any project you take on.

    Have a wonderful day, my friend! xoxo

  16. Hello again there Anni. WOW, you are a great decorator. You have such a wonderful talent for decorating. Me, not so much. LOL. Now, I have always like to decorate for Christmas much better, but I'm just not crafty. My Mom is tho. I hope you don't fall out of your chair tonight. LOL. Sorry you fell out tho. LOL. When the girls were alot younger, I did like to decorate for Halloween, but they are too big for that now and I don't do that anymore. Yeah, Facebook is what I call Drama Central. I only go on there because I like to keep up with some of my friends, especially the ones that live out of my state and I graduated with and never get to see anymore. I've thought about quitting it before, but just never have. I also stay on there to keep an eye on my girls to make sure they don't do or say anything they aren't supposed to. LOL. I know, I'm a bad Mother, but oh well. I also have a twitter account. I don't tweet that much, but the girls have accounts and with me having one, I can keep an eye on their activity also. Well, take care my friend and have a great evening. Glad you stopped by. Oh, how do I let my followers know I am back blogging? Thanks for any help.
