Down in New Orleans Where the blues was born
It takes a cool cat to blow a horn

The Mardi Gras mambo, mambo, mambo
Party Gras mambo, mambo, mambo

In Gert Town where the cats all meet
There's a Mardi Gras mambo with a beat
Join the Chief with the Zulu gang
And truck on down where the mambo's swing

Mardi Gras mambo, ooh-oh...

Geez. I guess I didn't raise her to have any scruples, now, did I?...and we are in awe of all the costumes and

DeleteOur Mardi Gras celebrations here are more on the quiet side.
ReplyDeleteTime for a Semla
I'm thinking the 'quiet' celebration is best. In New Orleans, it's quite boisterous and loud....and CROWDED!!!

ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
Your masked furbabies were superb in celebrating today.

ReplyDeleteYou haven't heard "Nawlins" before? Where have you been all these years?!! [just kidding of course] Actually, if you're ever down there, most people say it that way....Nawlins. Guess it's a cultural thing.

Thanks Leah.
DeleteThose are some COOL cats!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL...they had fun I guess.
DeleteFangs so much fur visitin us and linkin us! We luf you blog! Let the good times roll!
ReplyDeleteCats so often are seen as lazy, sleeping and eating most of the time. Yet our feline friends may be bored. Bring the kitties to NO, The Big Easy - and let them dress up for Fat Tuesday. Thus like these cats, a character change occurs when they get to dress up and lose their inhibitions...
ReplyDeleteToday we remember Christchurch, we also remember New Orleans.
ReplyDeleteNew Orleans is on my bucket list. I hope I make it someday!
ReplyDeleteFun post Anni!
