Walking the Jetty @ Luby Beach on Mustang Island...

PS...this morning in my comments, one left a note [you know who you are] saying my name on my photos is 'obtrusive' and to 'not do it that way'. Well....I don't critique YOUR blog...so, don't comment on HOW I should do mine differently to satisfy your thoughts on perfection. It's my blog, I do it my way. I will always consider that rudeness a misconduct of blogging etiquette, and I will delete. The old saying goes..."If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."
Oh I love the crash of a wave against rocks! Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos
ReplyDeletei love the action of the waves. nice pics :0
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by :)
Wow! The foams of waves captured so well. I can feel the thrill.
ReplyDeleteWonderful series of shots - I love trying to catch the water at just the right moment as it hits the rocks - I did that last year in Maine at the wonderful, hidden, surprising beach we found.
ReplyDeleteSorry you're getting rude comments!
You stand there long enough, you get some waves!
ReplyDeleteFEELING RATHER DUCKY
Feeling rather ducky?
Here’s what I would do:
Find a pond or puddle,
One that’s right for you;
Take a sturdy life vest,
Strap it on your back;
Jump into the puddle,
Give a little quack!

Wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteDawn Yes, some bloggers don't realize how easy it is to steal a photo and use as their own. With my name plastered all over my photos, it makes it all the more difficult to take 'em and reuse them without credits to me or others who have photos on their blogs. Their way isn't always the right way.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs.
ReplyDeleteLOVED your photos today... GREAT!

Very refreshing on a hot day. Love that last one!
ReplyDeleteIt is so hot here I want to jump in!
ReplyDeleteOh Anni! What a beautiful place - and absolutely amazing shots! :)
ReplyDeleteWW: Princess Nagger Visits the Devonian Fossil Gorge
Thanks for your visit and your lovely comment. Always nice to know there are fellow Dobi lovers around. Love your shots-makes me want to splash in the ocean. Cheers
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful out there!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comments today.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos and I understand why you put your name on them. I love looking at the beautiful scenery that is there!!!!!!!!!
What city is that across the way it looks so beautiful.
Have a wonderful day.
Nice pics, I can see, hear, and smell the sea.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at your comment on other people's comments. I didn't even notice that you had your name on the pics until I looked at them again.
I'm pretty independent about my blog also. Keep on keeping on.
Wonderful action photos! I love the way the waves make the spray. The moss covered rock is a surprise, because I did not know that moss can grow in sea water too. Or is it a lake?
ReplyDeleteNice view.
ReplyDeleteHaving your photos stolen and reposted as originals is not flattery. I've learned to see past the names for the minute (or less) of viewing. You are quite right in deleting such rudeness.
lotusleaf....yes, that is salt water...the Gulf of Mexico
ReplyDeleteSharon...that isn't a city, it's just a line of hotels on the island beach.
ReplyDeleteYogi and Lesley....thank you for seeing it my way. I guess some bloggers just can't get past it all.
ReplyDeletePerfect water splash :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by Anni...
Just delete all rude comments. It's not worth to read...
It's alive! Great water photos!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors!
Hi Anni! I've missed you. Yay for Derek Jeter!!!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are lovely, and you drove there to take them, took them, developed them, posted them ... all for free, for us to enjoy. So if you don't want anybody to steal them and claim them as their own, possible to sell them as their own, then watermarking them with your name is about all that you can do to prevent it.
I just took 900 pictures on our last trip; many at an national sports event, and you bet I signed my name to them. If somebody wants one without my name in the middle, then they will just have to ask first, won't they.
You and Patti are always there to remind me that our blogs are just that: ours. And if people don't like them, they don't have to read them.
Heart ya,
Kathy M.
Looooooooove the photos, last ones cool..
ReplyDeleteWow ! I just wished I could be there and put my feet in the water !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures !
Hi Anni, I'm so happy to find you again. I lost all my blogs on my blog roll a while back and I am trying to retrieve them ever so slowly. I saw your comment on another blog I went to and quickly hopped on over here so that I could get your address.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are gorgeous and I'm also sorry someone commented about your signature. I can project right through it and enjoy what I see. Have a great day.
Love your splashin' wave shots!!
ReplyDeleteYep, it's your blog and you can do it any ol' way ya wanna!
great pictures. Rudeness is way worse than what you do with your name. There is no excuse for rudeness.
ReplyDeleteLove all of these shots, really makes you see the action that goes on when the waves hit the jetty. Wow, I can't believe someone actually complained to you about where you put your name on your pictures...geez!!! Some people just can't keep their mouth shut, can they?! As you say, this is YOUR blog and YOUR pictures and you can darn well do what you want with them:-) xoxo
ReplyDeletewonderful captures...beautiful light and shadows.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo set, but I absolutely LOVE you blog design!
ReplyDeleteLove the wave action! Thanks for stopping by my place. Aren't comments nice to read when they actually say something nice! Blessings, Debbie
ReplyDeleteI kind of want to stick these photos in a flipbook.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Photos Anni.. I love watching the wave action myself! Actually I love the sea! Have a wonderful day and thanks for sharing your photos with us, name & all!
ReplyDeleteI love all the textures, bubbles, foam & splashes! really helped cool me off :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, it is YOUR blog, so you can post & mark your things anyway you want to. I am not the best photographer but I try to mark mine some way (if I remember, LOL) as someone can always ask if they would like to borrow one & I would send them a clean larger image. Nice to 'see' you again :)

Oh how refreshing and cool that looks.
ReplyDeleteMama Bear
That is a cool series of pictures Anni. And I agree with you, boot the ones who think they can come here and give an unwanted critique! I am starting to put watermarks on my photos and if anyone wants one without...all they have to do is ask. Again, nice shots!
ReplyDeleteWow, amazing photos. The color of the water is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThe old saying goes..."If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."
ReplyDeleteI like this, My grandpa taught me this and it is my philosophy of blogging, and this is why I like your site. You are nice, unlike some people.
I love this Anni, you captured some really beautiful wave action.
ReplyDeleteSome folks don't have any manners. Like someone else said above I didn't notice your name on the photos until I read your reaction to the comment.
Beautiful captures.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the rude comment.
Great capture of the waves mid-air, neat!
ReplyDeleteGreat water shots, Anni! I love the droplets suspended in mid air, and the wonderful saturation of colours you've captured.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sorry to think someone would leave you a rude message when you are never anything less gracious...:)
