MY SIX WORDS TODAY: What's up with all the 3-D?!! The most recent 'upcoming movie' for the summer is CATS AND DOGS in 3D . I thought I'd talk about the influx of the dimensional movies, and dogs today. Seems anymore when I turn around, a new animated [or combination live/animated] movie comes out and it's always in "3-D"!!! And, personally, I don't see any improvement in the content of the flicks with the special effects. For me, the movie should be entertaining. It's the writing, the script, that counts. For months a while ago, the Hollywood writers went on strike. Wanting more money of course, for their work. Only to return to their jobs and the writing is far worse than it was BEFORE the strike. Who cares if a finger comes 'out of the screen' pointing to you, or a snowflake falls on the audience...it certainly doesn't improve on the entertainment value. And there is a new phenomenon now for 3-D television. That

CLICK BUTTON to join Hobby Lobby, more so than Michael's, has been recently stocking Autumn and Halloween goodies for us crafters!! Where I went to buy more craft acrylics and some pumpkins and a floral pick. Yippee....Remember a few posts in the past, with a little 'teaser' about me being a copycat and a new Halloween project I had viewed from another blogger who likes the celebration as much as I do? Well, with two broken jigsaw blades, Bud started cutting it for me! Oh, the ruined saw blades, it's all my fault of course 'cause it was my idea - hehehehe I began by drawing the letters needed for the decoration, with plans in my mind how I'm going to paint them and give them the finishing touches; then Bud took over. Mine aren't the EXACT copy of hers at all...mine are painted differently!! It's just the 'idea' I 'imitated'. The wood I decided to draw the letters on was extremely hard wood!! Hence the broken saw blad

Looking back, I find My footprints still remain -- All too soon to disappear, Sand shifting with the tide, each and every grain... Outgoing surf washes the memory back to sea; Footprints gone...gone forever; nevermore. poem by Anni © July 2010 All Rights Reserved - - -<><><>- - - Once again I speak from my heart about politics; media coverage. Now that the oil spill has been capped what happened to the ever-present coverage? Last I heard there was a leak, but not to be alarmed. Well, I say, la di da!! Where are the follow-up segments of what lies in store for the livelihoods of so many people that have been altered? Is BP still paying out damages from lawsuits? I DO KNOW that the one who wanted his 'life back'...is going to be replaced by an American, so says BP! What about the animals? Where are the stories now? :::sigh:::

Religion isn't something I feel comfortable sharing, with so many readers. I feel it's sincerely something that you either hold dear to your heart and soul, or you don't wish to discuss it at all...both reasons apply to me. I don't like being preached to by others who's beliefs and thoughts are not mine alone. But y'all know I love art. Since today is Sunday, the Sabbath to Christians, I thought I'd write a little bit of my favorite piece of artwork depicting the theme of religion. Ever since childhood, I remember a large painting of my mother's. She had it on the wall next to her bedside along with a table and her Bible. Today, I still have her very worn Bible, but I don't know what happened to the painting. It was a reproduction of course, of the famous work by Henrich Hofmann. A German painter who painted Christ at Gethsemane in the late 1800s. Tho I don't have one of the same, I must say it remains my favorite painting with the r

MY SIX WORDS TODAY: Nature's colors illuminate my dull days. To me, being outdoors and working with nature is a priority. Reaping the joys of colors and beauty from the work involved makes everything worth the small efforts of each and every season...there is always something to do and enjoy. If nothing beckons an awaiting task, then, just sit back and dream of the good life we have. [see camera critter photo below] - - -<><><>- - - CAMERA CRITTERS: I call this photo... All's fair when I'm on the bargaining table!---------

CLICK BUTTON to join Well, I won't be rearranging design in the living room very much anymore! There is a furniture store that is going out of business here in town and Bud and I decided to stop by yesterday, just to look, on the way home from lunch yesterday. And we ended up going home and moving out the old black leather set and cleaning up the carpet really good to make room for the new couch and loveseat we purchased. There was no intention of buying in Bud's mind when we walked through the store's entrance, that I know. He was just in there with me, browsing to see what prices were 'slashed'. With me tho, it was in the back of my mind to find something that was a bargain. Regularly $1299 for the two piece set...guess what? I got them to bargain with me; well-built, solid and well-finished and got an unbelievable price of----ready? Bud says I should be ashamed of myself taking advantage of their losses. I say: "Oh well. When they have wind
