The wordful section:
This species of birds is another favorite of mine to watch...how they scurry into the just receded current in search of food!! And do they ever scurry!!! And then run as quickly as their spindly legs can carry them as the waves rush back in to shore...Adorable creatures. Read more....

Hello my friend, enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture, I love watching the shore birds.
ReplyDeleteI like to watch the sandpipers also.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a stormy day by the sea. Was the water warm? The Sandpiper looking for food in the sand perhaps. Maybe just running away from the wind? Have a lot of nice walks along the Gulf of Mexico... :-)
ReplyDeletelike the denim look!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture, alone with the bird, what a great opportunity to had it photographed.
ReplyDeleteAdorable indeed.
ReplyDeleteI like Sandpipers too - they are just neat looking!
ReplyDeleteHi Anni, love the bird! He looks like he is enjoying himself.
ReplyDeleteVery melacholic shot, this bird looks so lonely...
ReplyDeleteThe color in my photo is just the reflection of a glass building :)
Greetings to my Watery Wednesday neighbor! This little bird looks determined to walk along the beach! How fun!

Nice shot of the Sandpiper scurrying along the shoreline in search of tasty tidbit.
ReplyDeletebe well, be happy, Anni.
I love going to the shore and seeing the birds and watching the waves. How nice that you live close enough to the shore to visit often.
ReplyDeleteLove to watch the birds in their busy search for food :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a moody day. The bird was lost, alone walking in the shore.
ReplyDeleteAnni, it's a perfect one...
ReplyDeleteGreat composition...love the bird and the moving water...
Great shot, I love watching birds scurry along the sand - very cute. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteYou paint a picture of what they look like with your words, very well. I've seen them, so I know. Now people who have never seen them, can do so through you. You're good girl!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sweet Annie...
ReplyDeleteLove the little sand piper, some interesting bits of information regarding the little speeder. I have never seen a bird run so fast, you would think they would just fly, but instead they run. No wonder they have such little stick legs, they run the fat right off of themselves running everywhere. Ha! Ha! Ha! Maybe that is the answer for me. If I could only run so fast.
Looks as though you have been back to the Ocean of late. It looks so beautiful. I can only dream. To be so close you could visit everyday. Yep that is what I would dream for. How wonderful for you and Bud to be able to walk there each morning and enjoy the air and sites and sounds. Lovely sweetie. Just lovely.
Have a beautiful day. Love ya girl. Country hugs and much love, Sherry

ReplyDeleteI can just hear that ocean wave hitting shore.
ReplyDeleteMama Bear
They're one of those birds that make me wonder how they stay alive -- they have to expend more calories getting their food than they take in. (OK maybe if I watch them long enough and follow their example....?)
ReplyDeleteCute. I can see it "scurrying" in this image.
