FLASH FICTION 55

Alas! Damsel in distress.
Close now, he lifted his shining armor and spoke--
"Me thinks you could use my help m'lady"?
She looked up; smiled her toothless smile...
Ancient face, pocked skin, quite smelly...
Sweating, shaking and panting, he sudenly awakened...
'twas only a KNIGHTmare!!

Hi Anni,
ReplyDeleteSo very nice to meet you. I like your Irish post. My heart pounds with excitement like the fair maiden in hopes one day t0 meet my Knight.
I love the Gulf of Mexico. I just moved from the gulf coast. I lived by South Padre Island for over 40 years. I grew-up spending summers at the island. My father loved the gulf, so when he passed away he asked for his ashes to be sent to sea. He is my Knight!
Yoli :)
Ooooh, a groaner, as I've seen these called. A big groaner indeed. :)
