PHOTO HUNT 2009 THEMES

ENTERTAINMENT

Of all the entertainers I've seen in concert, live, I do think that Rod Stewart is by far the 'one' I liked best. He truly gave us our money's worth...his concert lasted nearly 2 1/2 hours...and then on top of that he did three songs with his encore stage appearance. It was like it was just yesterday, but in three days [the 4th] it will have been 5 years since we attended the show in Tucson. And boy howdy, if I had a chance, I'd go again! At the drop of a hat. I liked him when I was young...and I LOVE him now...he has improved like fine wine...with age....So to entertain y'all a bit, I think I'll show you a bit of what I have on his form...of entertainment that is----

If you decide to play Rod Stewart's song click "ARROW" button. You can turn off the song player by clicking the [||] button

Yep, I still have a VHS player/DVD combination...
for this purpose...
to be able to play stuff like this!

AND his new,
improved classic songs...four volumes!

  7. I like Rod Stewart too -- and can't believe it was decades ago when he took part in the Concert for UNICEF (the first time I heard Rod Stewart sing!)!

  8. oh i saw Rod in concert many, many years ago and i still think it was the best i've ever seen. he was just all over the stage so that everyone in the audience - from every angle - could see his show. not to mention that i still love that gravelly voice!

  9. I never liked Rod Stewart. All I remember is his wild mullet mane of hair and his super-tight leopard-skin pants. That was in the 80s. NOT a good decade for music.

    Great post on entertainment!

Mine is up, too. Have a great weekend!

  10. I like Steward's "downtown train" - I heard the song a while back and had forgotten it - still it reminds me of summer days wherever I hear it

  18. Hey, Annie! Guess what?? I saw Rod Stewart in person once, too, but it wasn't in concert. In the mid-80's (I think), I saw him walking down a street in Beverly Hills (can no longer remember which one), with Alana (Elaina??? sp?) and a dog that had a hairstyle just like Stewart's (sticking straight up on top and everything). I was fascinated! I had heard that people buy pets that kind of look like them, but I wouldn't have believed this!

That's it. That's the only time I saw him.
    Have a great day!

I'm not a big fan of Alice in Wonderland, so will be passing this movie by, but hope you enjoy it.

  23. I like Rod Stewart too, it's great to see so many performers "lasting" -- it shows that good music appeals to all ages and endures through all the fads.
