Of all the entertainers I've seen in concert, live, I do think that Rod Stewart is by far the 'one' I liked best. He truly gave us our money's worth...his concert lasted nearly 2 1/2 hours...and then on top of that he did three songs with his encore stage appearance. It was like it was just yesterday, but in three days [the 4th] it will have been 5 years since we attended the show in Tucson. And boy howdy, if I had a chance, I'd go again! At the drop of a hat. I liked him when I was young...and I LOVE him now...he has improved like fine wine...with age....So to entertain y'all a bit, I think I'll show you a bit of what I have on his form...of entertainment that is----

If you decide to play Rod Stewart's song click "ARROW" button. You can turn off the song player by clicking the [||] button

Yep, I still have a VHS player/DVD combination...
for this purpose...
to be able to play stuff like this!

My CD collection.
All his greatest 'oldies'
AND his new,
improved classic songs...four volumes!

  1. He is really awesome.

  2. I see you're a big fan... love his husky voice :)

I'm new to photohunt, hope u can visit me when u have time. thanks.

  3. Mom loves him!!! We have a DVD/VCR combo so Mom can record some of the old VCR tapes that she wants to keep.

    Sniffie and the Florida Furkids

  4. Hubby likes RS! :)

And the kids are awaiting Alice in Wonderland, they have watched that trailer several times. They also love Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride. Kids are 13, 8 and 6.

  5. I used to be a huge fan of his.

    I played too :)

  6. Hmm that's a great entertainment...Have a wonderful weekend. Am playing too. TC

  7. I like Rod Stewart too -- and can't believe it was decades ago when he took part in the Concert for UNICEF (the first time I heard Rod Stewart sing!)!

  8. oh i saw Rod in concert many, many years ago and i still think it was the best i've ever seen. he was just all over the stage so that everyone in the audience - from every angle - could see his show. not to mention that i still love that gravelly voice!

  9. I never liked Rod Stewart. All I remember is his wild mullet mane of hair and his super-tight leopard-skin pants. That was in the 80s. NOT a good decade for music.

    Great post on entertainment!

Mine is up, too. Have a great weekend!

    Mrs. Mecomber
    New York

  10. I like Steward's "downtown train" - I heard the song a while back and had forgotten it - still it reminds me of summer days wherever I hear it

  11. Great post, Anni! I always like Rod Stewart, too - his music has really held up over the years.

Come on over if you get the chance - I've got cheesecake!

  12. Oh Annie, great nostalgic post. I am a fan of him too. We have a huge selection. Puts heart and romance into the songs.

    Love Granny

  13. Rod Stewart is one of my favourite singers _

  14. Rod Stewart was always one of my favorites. I pretty much grew up on his music. Thanks for stopping by and have a very blessed weekend!

  15. Rod Stewart has that unique sound that sets him apart, I also have some of his songs on my playlist :)

  16. now that was an entertaining post, thanks for stopping by

  17. HOT Rod!
    THAT's entertainment :-)

  18. Hey, Annie! Guess what?? I saw Rod Stewart in person once, too, but it wasn't in concert. In the mid-80's (I think), I saw him walking down a street in Beverly Hills (can no longer remember which one), with Alana (Elaina??? sp?) and a dog that had a hairstyle just like Stewart's (sticking straight up on top and everything). I was fascinated! I had heard that people buy pets that kind of look like them, but I wouldn't have believed this!

That's it. That's the only time I saw him.
    Have a great day!

  19. Anonymous8/01/2009

  22. Anni,

Glad you were able to see Rod Stewart in person. I'm sure you enjoyed it and you have some nice memories of that time and a great collection.

I'm not a big fan of Alice in Wonderland, so will be passing this movie by, but hope you enjoy it.

  23. I like Rod Stewart too, it's great to see so many performers "lasting" -- it shows that good music appeals to all ages and endures through all the fads.

  24. Very nicely done :-)

  25. Hey there girly, love your blog today, and my goodness will I have to be there to see Alice in Wonderland, Johnny Depp will be great in that I can already tell, and directed by Tim Burton awesome the treasure cat looked so cute with it's big eyes and mysterious. Looks great.
