“A wise old owl lived in an oak;
The more he saw the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he heard...
Why can't we all be like that bird?”

CREAMY

Now THIS is creamy! H*E*B's "Creamy Creations". I thought this was perfect since the brand name IS CREAMY. [and not a bad product for being a 'store brand']----

BUT!----
this brand is creamy - er!!!! Texas's OWN....Blue Bell Ice Cream. Dubbed the "best in the country". And I must agree. Over double the cost of a gallon of gasoline, but oh so worth it. A New York Times article states that Blue Bell Ice Cream makes Texas Cows Proud!! Its annual sales top $400 million. Deprived Yankees and displaced Texans pay big bucks to have Blue Bell sent to them, packed in dry ice (four half-gallons for $89, including shipping). Astronauts on board the Atlantis space shuttle took some Blue Bell along with them in 1995. Trust me....I say it's the best in the U S A!!

[Bud's favorite....Pecans, chocolate chunks, caramel in vanilla ice cream -above, in our freezer]

Me? This is mine....

My favorite of Blue Bell's ice cream is Black Walnut....what is YOUR favorite flavor of ice cream?

  8. Coffee is my favorite ice cream. I have to say that the HEB brand ice cream really is pretty good for being the store brand. When we were living in Corpus we ate it. I liked it better than Blue Bell. Sometimes I miss HEB,lol.

  13. Anything chocolate - but Bud's sounds outstanding! I think we have Blue Bell here, but I never buy anything that expensive, unfortunately. Believe it or not, the low fat version in our King Soopers brand is so creamy it's unbelievable.

  17. Anni,

    I hope to one day taste Blue Bell Ice Cream, but I will have to come to Texas. I couldn't afford to have it shipped here. lol

    I usually have Pralines & Cream, but without the carmel or chocolate. The local ice cream parlor has it with no sugar added. I don't indulge often. But really, my favorite ice cream is maple walnut. Just can't have all the extra sugar. Wish they made more than one flavor with no sugar added.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  20. I love seeing regional brands. We have several but I usually end up getting one of the 'big names'. I can't find black walnut up here. My favs tend to be the standards - Chocolate, Strawberry. Although I almost got maple walnut recently.

  24. Back when I used to live in Wisconsin, the favorite was Blue Bunny. They were inexpensive and tasted much better than any of the fancy brands. Unluckily they don't sell in Montana.

  25. I love icecream! I had a "luxury toffee" recently that was absolutely delicious. I think my favourite flavour is the one in front of me at the time!

  26. Well, my normal flavors are Peach(hard to find)and strawberry but if I really want to get decadent, I like Chocolate Marshmallow Almond & Turtle Tracks. I always want pure ice cream, no light or sugar free. I believe it is better to have a little of the real thing.
    We have Blue Bell here. I also like Breyer's. I visited the Mayfield Dairy in Tennessee once where they give free samples.
    Good choice for Creamy.

  34. Hi, Anni, I love the Black Walnut!!!!
    But living mostly on Ensure for two years, I come to like the Buttered Pecan, now I have to talk hubby in to going to the Grocery, for we only have Vanilla and its not Blue Bell! lol

  36. I lived in Texas for eight years and Bluebell is very good. But, having been to Italy and tasted the true Italian gelato... nothing on the planet compares. And I guarantee that there is no other chocolate creamy goodness anywhere that gives as big of a buzz as the chocolate gelato there.

    Mine is up here.
