“A wise old owl lived in an oak;
The more he saw the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he heard...
Why can't we all be like that bird?”

PHOTO HUNT 2009 THEMES

IN MEMORY

Since tomorrow is Mother's Day [and I will post a photo of my mom -taken on our wedding day- tomorrow, for Mother's Day. And our wedding day?....it was 41 years ago on Monday the 11th]. I thought I'd show you some "In Memory" photos of a family memorial wall from inside our home....

In honor of mothers....the left portrait is my mother's mother [my grandmother]...the middle photo portrait is Bud's mother's mother [his grandmother]....and the photo on the right is my mother's well worn bible encased in it's original box. [that also shows her original wedding ring -sans the diamond setting- her high school class ring, hankie and thimble. All my mom's. [behind the bible is her high school autograph book...with classmates' autographs. circa 1930 I believe]

  16. Love the Bible grouping and my grandmother always had the family photos on the wall growing up. It's a way for younger generations to know their ancestors.

  36. Hi sweetie, I was at FlamingoFotos and this is what she had posted
    Attention PhotoHunters! I received the following email from tnchick at post-time, this morning:

    Hey folks! I'm so sorry to report my site isn't allowing me to access it and I do not know why. I've emailed and am waitin'. I've waited up till now (posting time) and still can't get on. Please pass the word for me to those not subscribed to this mailing. I'd appreciate it. The hunt will continue - you'll just have to do it without me this week. If my domain allows me to log in and access it when I wake up - I'll post new thread, then. So sorry - but it's out of my hands. Thanks!

    chick
