About | Theme: " SELF " | Roll Next week " BAD HAIR " I'll show you mine, if you show me yours!!! Tattoo, that is. I designed this on paper since I love tigers and still wanted something a bit more 'different'. I then took my drawing down to the tattoo artist and asked him if he could put it on my ankle...he said he could. Then copied it onto his image machine and started going at it. It took about 2 1/2 hours. OH....and I was near 50 in age!! [I figured my skin was quite stretched so there shouldn't be too much fading and sagging by the time I'm 70. ROFL!! ~...end Photo Hunt [scroll below the ABC meme for commenting] <><><> The alphabet meme, I've done one similar a while ago, but this one had a few different subjects so since I really enjoyed reading others who have done the same, I felt I could attempt one for myself. Here goes: A ccent: I have the all American mid-west accent. But I'm slowly pickin' up

Join Here All righty then. I went out in the garage, looking for some scrap wood from Bud's stash. I found a piece of plywood large enough and some thick dowel for cutting down into four small pieces. I wanted a large circular piece cut. Of course, I'm not too keen on cutting wood with the electric jigsaw, so I asked Bud to cut the circle piece for me while I used the small hand saw to cut the four dowel pieces. With that all done, and then sanded, I drilled holes through the large circle and aligned those holes with the dowel and continued to drill...used wood screws to attach them all. After that being complete, I painted the dowel black, and the 'top' circle red! Let it stand several hours to make sure everything was completely dry. And let's just say right off the bat, it's big! Why the project you ask? If you visit here often enough, you'll know that our cats have a 'perch' bench by the window near the outdoor bird feeder. They have a

edition #60 The Domino Effect [through the eyes of a pessimist] 1] Oil by the barrel sets a new high daily! 2] Fuel - Gasoline prices skyrocket! 3] Transporting goods -trains, trucks, planes, buses [city, schools, and national tour buses] - feel the crunch and.. 4] Raise prices on everything, including the 1st piece of luggage for most airline traffic. 5] In turn, we get the brunt of it as consumers! While the CEOs see a 300% profit! 6] We are promised a tax rebate of $600 per individual to boost the economy! 7] To spend for fun and frivolously? I think not... 8] I can't wait to see how this all ends; if ever -probably not in my lifetime. 9] I see an advertisement- "Wanna Sell your S U V? Good luck!!" And laugh at the humor but know it's darn well true to life! 10] Fuel costs, food staples, electricity, propane, you name it...rises to record levels. 11] You can't make your house payments...just the rich can sell/buy! Banks don't wanna loan out anything.

Head or Tails: This week's prompt is " T A I L S - Tell about your job or one you've had" I've only had three jobs outside the home during my single [from my freshman year] to married life before Bud retired. The first one was when I was single and I worked there after being married up until pregnancy, and I chose to be a 'stay at home mom'. The job I left for motherhood was as the head receptionist for a local Chamber of Commerce. [the photo is of me on my 1st day back from a 3 month leave - I spent 3 months getting some research done while attending meetings [and having fun with my sister who resided there working for Senator Gordon Allot] in Washington D.C. - courtesy of the CofC --the book I'm holding is the a booklet I helped design; a tourist 'give away' for the city & county I worked for --kinda a 'tour guide'] I didn't begin working outside the home again until our youngest, Erik, began school in the 1st grade. I the

Alison wants to take a trip around the world for Fun Monday!! Vacations...this is the time of year when most of us go on vacations. Show us and/or tell us about your favorite vacation - where you went, what you did, etc. Pictures would be great. Let's all take a trip around a the world via our FM friends!! - - - Neither Bud nor I are 'much on travel' anymore. We once had a motor home, and after we retired, we did a lot of driving, and it was expensive upkeep for that vehicle with very poor gas mileage , tax to even own it, maintenance, and the lack of good areas where we could actually drive it 'cause it was large...it burned us on driving while vacationing! I'm really glad we decided to sell it way back when 'cause now-a-days there'd be no chance in h e double l that we could sell it...no one wants the gas guzzlers anymore!! Then, today, with all the security freaks and the extra cost of baggage and delays and dropping flights...we just don't like

No doubt, I'm gonna have tons to say today. Be forewarned. It's just one of those days that once I started thinking of what's going on around me, I can't help myself but chat on........ [included in this post ] is GREEN THUMB and UNCONSCIOUS MUTTERINGS [scroll WAY DOWN for both!] I sat down and read online for hours, everything I could find that I hadn't read. Although, normally, I keep politicking to myself since it's a subject quite strong to some. I've also found myself being very VERY interested in this election year because of all the GREAT ones running. All!! [I went to BOTH campaign rallies here in South Texas...Clinton's and Obama's so I could make a more educated choice as to which would be a better candidate --if McCain would have been here, I would have attended that one also!] Yet, this little piece stuck to my brain because I truly think in terms of not compromising an election party as it were, it's time to hang up the t
