About | Theme: SKINNY | Roll
Next week "IMPORTANT"

definition: scraggy; "a child with skinny freckled legs"; "a long scrawny neck"

I usually have my Saturday Photo up by Friday evening so the ones that 'play along' and live over the 'big pond' [i.e. Europeans/Aussies/Far Eastern friends] can view without having to wait on us in the U S A until it's almost their Sunday!! But I'm running late. Yesterday was a busy day for us, and then I fell asleep after dinner last night...so my 'skinny' is fictionalized human. Hehehehehe By the way - skinny was a difficult subject. Skinny? I had the 'darndest' time finding anything skinny!! I always associate 'skinny' with humans or animals [or parts therein], instead of objects which to me are 'thin or narrow' but not 'human-like skinny'. So it was a challenge this week. Why even our cats are too plump to qualify---------

So this I use. It's my Corpse Bride [movie] Dolls. The movie? It's a Tim Burton film...with Victor [the skinny guy shown here] and the Bride [partially decomposed and still in her bride's gown - - one arm skeletal and her skin is blue from lack of blood, coming up from the world beyond] and Victor's dog Scraps. Scraps and the Corpse Bride are from the 'grave'...all fabrication of course. And one of my favorite movies. Sad in a way, and a terrific script and idea for a fantasy movie.

  1. Wow, they look beautiful! I think they'll look pretty on a wedding cake. Yeah, seriously. Maybe I'll do that in my wedding :-) Uh, I'm not getting married yet, though...

  2. Those are certainly skinny dolls!

We find that with so many people posting on Friday, we don't get many visitors when we post on Saturday morning (German time). We are six hours ahead of Eastern time, so when we go to bed on Friday, the Photo Hunt hasn't started, but by the time we post Saturday morning, there are already over 150 photos posted!

But that's okay. Our friends visit us, and that's the main thing!

  19. Good Morning Anni,
I'm still online for right now. I did do a post this morning. "THANK YOU" for the encouraging words you left on my comments yesterday. I so appreciate it very much. I love your "SKINNY" theme today. I don't watch those scary or gory movies, but DH and the girls do. Since I'm not "SKINNY" myself, I can't relate to the word "SKINNY". ROFLMBO. Oh, and I do have freckles on my legs as well. LOL. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love you and lots of Hugs,
    Karen H.
