Next week "OLD FASHIONED"

I'm in a mood this week! I'm being a bit off-course here. And I hope I don't get banned. Just keep in mind that this week's photo is done in fun and not intended to be offensive. There are times when I can be a female version of Steve Martin [now wipe that surprised look off your face, I know that you know what I know....I'm a bit uncouth at times]...you know? -Steve Martin, the 'wild and cra-a-a-z-y guy'? Yep, I'm crazy, there's no doubt in my mind. Why, if they had to commit me, it'd be a very short drive for them to take me; I'm three-quarters of the way there already!! In all truth of the matter, this item is important to me and many..... Of course, I expect a lot of family photos for the week's theme...that's okay. As family is important to me also. But, to be just a bit different and perhaps 'unexpected', I will forgo the family album, and post something out of the ordinary from loved ones. Well, actually, what I'm posting as 'important' is important to a couple of loved ones---------

Photo Hunt Photo might not be suitable for youngsters [dunno how you react to such an item. But, truly, I've seen worse on daytime television and commercials and movies ---]

Ummmmm, when I'm running [now I didn't say jogging!!] this is ALL important. I know you ladies understand. And you fellas? Well, just think of it this way...a female athletic cup; whichever!!! Keeps the parts in their place without knocking the wits out of us...right?

They are going to call the practice "Jiffy Boob."

I've received these this past few weeks and am finally getting around to posting them with pride! And I want to thank each and every ONE of you for thinking of me and my blog....and I truly cherish the thoughts - AND the friendships!!

Thank you all!!!

I received this one yesterday morning. Siani made me smile; big! First of all this episode of "I Love Lucy" is my all time favorite....and then, to have a blog friend drop by and tell me through an award that "I cheer her up" with my blogging. That made my day! Thanks Siani!!!

This one is from a long-time online friend and she knows hubby and I have been working frantically all month to get the house in tip top shape for the Spring season! And believe me, she's a hoot! She thought we needed this for our efforts. And yes...it's here, displayed properly. A Good Housekeeping Diploma!! Thanks Mutti!!

Grams and Angela...what can I say. These women are a true blessing to us bloggers! They both have a wonderful outlook on life, and are always there...being a good friend!! Thanks Grams, and also from Angela ---it's highly appreciated.

Friday afternoon, I was told to come over and pick up something at Shannymar's! Wow...this one blew me away! I wasn't expecting someone telling me that my blog is excellent!!

Shannymar says: "I love being a part of the blogging community and part of all the friendships that I’ve formed so I wanted to give a blog award for all of you out there that have Excellent Blogs." -and has asked that by accepting this award, to pass it on to ten that I THINK has an excellent blog. I'll get busy and pass this on to others by this week sometime.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

  3. Anni,

You are so deserving of the awards. Congratulations. I sent you one by email. Did you get it? If not, please check your junk folder. ;-)

That series of I Love Lucy is also my all time favorite. She was an entertainer. I loved her show and never missed it. My mother was also a great fan. I still watch reruns if I see that they are on. We get dejuvu, so we see some of the old shows. Lucy was a classic.

Take care, my friend and be sure to drop over and make a comment so you'll be included in my Valentine's/200th post giveaway.

    Blessings and hugs,
    Mary

  10. Gosh you scored this week with the awards, Anni. That photo shows a very important piece of wear for the ladies, but surely that is not a sports bra? Looks like Victoria Secret one to me.

  11. LOL! Oh, that's priceless! You're absolutely right - nothing more important to us bouncy broads than a bra - great interpretation!

My important photo is here if you wander over.

    Have a great weekend!

  15. Good Evening Anni,
Oh my gosh, what am I going to do with you my friend? You just cheer me up so much and make me smile. I need to roll out the red carpet for you. I love the Red Bra. LOL. I'm afraid tho, that they don't make those kind in my size. LOL. No, I'm not saying what size I am, but I will say that I'm big busted tho. LOL. I guess I get them from my Grandma. I loved the joke about the new Cosmetic Practice opening up and to be called "Jiffy Boob". That is just too funny. I had to tell that one to my DH and he just LOL. I always loved watching Lucy. I can't say that I remember this episode, but I'm sure I've seen it tho. I could watch Lucy all the time. "CONGRATULATION'S" on the Housekeeping Diploma Award and the 2007 Inspiring Blog and the Excellent Blog Award. You truly do deserve each and every Award you get. I just love coming here visiting you. Take care my friend and have a great weekend. May God Bless You and Yours.

    Love & Hugs,
    Karen H.

  16. I think you were wrong with your prediction, so far I haven't seen ONE family photo !
And a bra is the only thing important in your life ?? (hehehe) it's not so long ago I only started to WEAR a bra ! !

  17. Too funny! Definitely an important article of clothing many of us can appreciate.

    ReplyDelete
  18. as you brought up the subject, did you know the WonderBra is a Canadian invention and revolutionized the fit and comfort of bras? The Victoria and Albert Museum in London display of historical clothing includes an original WonderBra -- see guys do know a little bit but not a lot about all things bra-like. Don't ask me about my first experience with a jockstrap other than I was a late bloomer and nobody told you where to put what so my what was in the wrong where LOL

  19. Ooh yes! Bras are very important. A badly-fitted one can make the most expensive outfit look like a sack of potatoes! Once again, you've cheered me up! Have a lovely weekend.

  20. Jiffy boob? Hahaha! As a male I am glad I don't have to wear ione - that said, unless I lose some weight I may well need a man-bra soon! Happy weekend

  24. A supportive bra is very important indeed, especially when one is well-endowed and engaging in sports. We know that our mom needs super-supportive and comfortable sports bras when running, teaching fitness classes, and horseback riding.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I couldn't agree more! I would be lost without my support. Lost and extremely saggy!

  53. Hi Anni, I have been featuring a blog each weekend and I did yours this evening. By the way when you have time could you update my Bloggers over 50 Link as I am not on blogspot any more to caribooponder.com I think I have most of the people who contacted me from that group on my page 'Blogs I like to read'.

I really enjoy your graphics. It is something I would like to do more of but am not very good at it and I find the artsy programs quite difficult to figure out.

I also could relate to the post today I have been trying to do small burst of vigorous excerise and everything is bouncing around so much it hurts, I can only do jumping jacks with one arm as the other is holding everything else down. LOL

    Have a great weekend

  56. I just wanted to tell you that today I have a very special little video on my blog. It is absolutely hilarious and shows the demolition of several houses in Brussels. It happened last week. They did it so good, that the neighbor found himself with a toilet without wall. If you like it give the word.
    I found it on a Belgian blog;

  62. When I did the Breast Cancer 3-Day walk last September in Seattle, there were several "sweep vans" which traveled the route to pick up walkers who were having problems with injuries, heat and dehydration issues, or just plain fatigue. They would take them to the next pit stop to doctor their blisters, ice their knees, or whatever might give them the means to continue--or to relalize they would need to call it a day.

When I injured my knee toward the end of the first day, I was rescued by a van that was decorated by these important items. Important symbols of the cause for which we walked.

Though posted in fun, your entry is unique and serious at the same time. Thank you, and stop by to see my important post. And if you would like to wee that bra covered sweep van, you will find it in my 3-Day photos post from September.

(I'm walking again next September as well. I don't intend to miss those four miles of that first day. I did go on to finish, BTW.)
