TODAY IS FRIDAY -- that means Show N Tell and Friday Feast. For Friday Feast...scroll down! ...join us over at Kelli's "There is no place like home"!! <><><> Welcome to my Friday's Show N Tell. This week it is of my new ceramic tea collection. I also have a few bone china cardinals, as I love the beautiful red birds; so naturally when I spied this set at the gift shop one day this past month, it was 'a must.' Hehehehehe, my hubby just shakes his head, and continually reminds me that "You don't need any more junk in the house!!" Then, he ends up liking it all. Go figure. Men!!! Hey, it was pretty, and cardinals ---I couldn't go wrong!!! The following photos are of the same set, but just more 'close-up' than the top of the hutch above. With this photo you see the serving tray and the tea pot. The red is just so vivid, and it's all hand painted. This, of course, is the tea cup. It's rather large and

Sure, I can go along with that. At least for the main purpose of getting the kids away from the computer and get out and become more active. Now my son [who's a marathoner and a 'health-food' addict] has repeatedly told me: "Mom, you should really try soy milk! It's good. And I bet you'd like it since you drink fat free milk a

~Wordless Wednesday <><><> Baldwin Girl sent along to me TWO awards yesterday! Am I thrilled? Yes indeedy!! What a joy to receive these. I love 'em. And I love the fact that she thought of me while handing the awards out. Thank you so much. I really, really like them. She says: " In the spirit of the season, this award goes to bloggers who I think have the mind power, and lots of glue, to keep us all running! My initial recipients are folks who ALWAYS make me smile, and are NOT fra-gee-lay! " and~ " I’m gonna share this with a few ladies that are more than just visitors…they’re bloggin buddies! " --- And Mary at Mary's Writing Nook dropped by and left a comment that she had something for me---it's a treasured gift! I feel very honored that she calls me 'friend'!! That's important to me---truly!! Thanks so much Mary!! <><><> One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor. Does the Little Mermaid

~HEADS or TAILS is below It's a SECRET! Over the weekend hubby drew out names for a special group of ladies who, online, decided to make it an annual affair and draw names to ship a holiday gift to each other. I got my special name, and yesterday I shopped for one special gift for the name I got! It's fun. Hope she likes what I found for her! Happy Holidays my secret buddy! You'll be getting your gift in the mail soon. For my shopping trip I went to one of our larger malls. And I took some photos -- This particular mall has in the center lobby, a place for kids! A place for them to hang out with Santa, and while doing so, they can then sit around the themed park for POLAR EXPRESS. Here is the main "gate" and a wax replica of the train's conductor [played by Tom Hanks] is there to greet you, and take your ticket to board. "Alllll Aboard" Here I am next to Tom H! It's quite realistic...the statue so looks like the character i

below this meme I've made a "Twelve Questions of Christmas" Meme. If you'd like to participate, and to get the questions, w/o my answers hornin' in on the list, I made it a bit 'easier' to copy and paste them to your blog... CLICK HERE 1. Christmas is _______________. [fill in the blank with ONE WORD] Christmas is ENCHANTING ! 2. In memories, what was the best part of your Christmases past? I remember most with cherished memories, of Christmases past with a yearly tradition of having a whole day, from sun-up to sun-down being with family! The ENTIRE family. In one house! My folks had Christmas celebrations each and every year. The kids [13 and younger] would get gifts from everyone. The older children and we adults would draw names on Thanksgiving and have to buy just ONE gift. It was a blast, the decorations, the food, the games, and most of all being with family. 3. Was Santa ever good to you? [describe how and what] My last visit from Santa was

Blue Momma is hosting this week. We're to show an unfinished project. So, here's mine: <><><> I started this about a month ago believe it or not...and, what with the weather finally cooling down enough to actually do some yard work then, the Thanksgiving holiday and now decorating the house for Christmas, it seems to just lie around, unfinished. I'm using a crochet angel pattern and tweaking it a bit here and there- taking off the wings, and adding a beard eventually; and guess what? Yep, you guessed ---it'll be a Santa. By the time he's finished he'll be starched heavily to be free standing....... Robinella will host next week!! <><><> Let me tell you about the case of the M&Ms!! Okay, the other day we were taken back in time with a Fun Monday...to our childhood days, if we could remember back that far! [Ya, I had a very hard time thinking of something that was worthy to actually jot down in my blog!] But that'

~A WALK ON THE BEACH Beachcombing a few days ago. Bud and I spent a couple hours walking on the beach the other day, before the cold front moved in. It was such a beautiful day. Autumn in the air...a crisp, chilly morning. Still warm enough to be perfect. The sea was calling my name. While walking I naturally end up looking downwards in the sand looking for the perfect, unbroken sand dollar. This area, south of Bob Hall Pier, just off a backwoods beach access road is where you'd find me this sunny day!! Above you see an oil rig on the horizon. I stopped and watched a tanker back toward the rigging for a 'filler-up' jobadoo!! It was fascinating. And yet, I wondered just how much that was worth in dollars and cents. The poor butterfly's wing was crusted with wet sand and he was so desperately trying to break free and fly again. So I had to stop and try to assist. I doubt if he made it much longer. And I found an 'almost' whole sand dollar! [arrowhead s
