Got a good reason For taking the easy way out

Next week: - PLASTIC

This is my guitar. It's usually sitting pretty on the side of the fireplace, but I brought it out of the shadows to get a full view photo taken for this week's theme. Now, naturally you're gonna ask if I can play it. Let's just say I can play the piano much better. But, once you learn the piano, the guitar is easy. My fingers aren't as flexible as they were when I was a teenager....and I mostly play just the slow rhythmic tunes now-a-days.

  7. I know what ya mean! I was thinking about learning to play Derek's guitar - but these ol' fingers would need a LOT of exercise before I could even THINK about it!!! I can barely get their pudgy little selves around the neck near the top! I admire anyone who can play ANY musical instrument too!

  9. It is a nice feeling when you can play more than 1 musical instrument. It is also a nice feeling to be able to play for your friends when they come.
I too can play the organ and the guitar as well.

  15. Hi,
I wish I could play my guitar. I've played the piano for about 58 years by ear and note but I haven't mastered the guitar.....

Thanks for visiting with me and the sweet comment on my wooden necklace...Betty

  17. That is a really nice guitar. I am not musically inclined. Can't even carry a tune in a bucket, let alone play something. I bet you play the piano beautifully. Have a great weekend.

  18. That's neat -- I don't know how to play any instruments, and would love to be able to express myself that way. I know I can take lessons -- just have too many other irons in the fire. But I do enjoy listening!! :-)

  24. Anni, my mum learnt to play the guitar in her 60s. I always wanted to play the piano, but we didn't have the money when I was young. My father (a gifted classical musician) gambled his money away on the horses... then wondered why my mother left him. However, you get that.

I think it's lovely that you still play...don't worry about not being as fast as you were...just enjoy it.

  30. Lovely guitar. :) I bet you play beautifully. My human mom always wanted to learn to play, but her fingers are so short, she has a hard time getting them around a guitar's neck, and she had to give up piano because she can't span an octave with her fingers.

  36. Si tu veux te promener à Londres aujourd'hui c'est le moment j'ai ammené notre Cyber Cruise to Croydon. I love this place it's much better then Central London once you have seen the tourist stuff and museums. I had to do the Onion Meme too and feel peeled !

  37. you're probably too modest about your musical ability. As for me, I can't bang two sticks together -- or so I was told in elementary school -- and I must confess I did push Debbie P. in the schoolyard because she always, always got to play the triangle. It just wasn't fair -- especially when you're six or seven years old LOL.

  38. yes it looks like a good guitar... can i ask you something about guitars?

there is a local shop selling BEDS ... no idea why but they have accoustic guitars in the window ... in all different colours...

they cost £35 each including strap, case, strings (well strings I should bloody well hope so!)...

that is about $70 US is this a good price? i really wanted to learn guitar ... have you any advice on how i select a good one? apart from the obvious: listen to it!

    ??
