Low Tide

Come, take a walk with me along the beach near Bob Hall Pier in the vicinity of the Kleberg County Line Boundary.  The things you'll see along the way, fishermen, shells, sand dollars, jellyfish, pelicans, seagulls, cormorants, prints in the sand and herons.  Listen to the soft, gentle surf and the birds calling, the subtle lapping of the waves, children playing, dogs barking and people giggling.  The sunshine is bright, the day is mild and warming....

  2. Thanks for the invite. I needed that. It was a nice break from the howling wind, cold temperatures and snow that we have here. I may come back later after work and join you for another stroll :)

  3. how could something that stings so bad, be so beautiful. love that last pic. the diamonds on the water are calling my name. the shells look like i could pick them out of your post and hold them. all beautiful. i thought of another thing people buy. a coloring book is less that 3 Starbuck coffees. or 3 Big Gulps at 7/11

  4. Oh how NICE! It is cold and everything is brown here in my world. Just to stand at the water's edge and enjoy the sights and sounds would be heaven right now. Happy Valentine's Day, Anni!

  9. Hello Anni!:) I really enjoyed this walk with you,... the beautiful views of the sea, all the pretty shells, and spectacular images of the Pelicans and the Heron in the water, and a fantastic sighting of a Jellyfish, not something one see's every beach day.:)

    1. Thanks for coming along with me to keep me company!! These jellyfish, tho they sting, aren't too 'dangerous' to humans...you can survive their stinging tho, watch out for the blue ones later in the year, the Man O' War...they're deadly 99% of the time!!

  13. Bob Hall pier brings the memories. My deceased husband, deceased brother-in-law, and my nephew who is a doctor now all liked to fish there at night.

  14. That was a very nice Valentine gift. My miles walking on the beach could bring me to you in Texas if I could do them over. Your poetic description was lovely and our walk today brought a squeeze to my soul. Thanks.
