Got a good reason For taking the easy way out

'Twas the month b4 Christmas...

Okay, so last weekend I said I was going to make more of the gnomes...
Well, I did.
Two more in fact.

From ZOOKlander{link will open in a new window} to Pilwinkle [his wife]

After I completed Pilwinkle, I moved on to one of my favorite characters---

...his cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!!

...and the stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth

So far, this little St. Nicholas Gnome was the most fun. Bud carved the pipe and drilled a hole for the smoke, which I used nylon rope fragments and curled them with my fingernail. The 'wreath that encircled his head' is evergreen yarn in a chain stitch and I glued three 'berries' on the yarn which are sequins.

This week, I'm connecting this post to WORDFUL WEDNESDAY

  14. Zooklander was awesome and Pilwinkle is equally adorable but the santa gnome is totally ingenious. After seeing yours I am no longer satisfied with my one little fabric gnome. I MUST go in search of those wood ball knobs and not come home until I find them.

  16. Hi again, Anni
Great to hear from you. I wish I really could take over the musical meme. It's right up my alley, as you know. Maybe when we stop traveling so much. Or maybe I could do it once a month to start with, instead of weekly. Certainly would be my choice if I were to think of meming, to coin a phrase.
    Take care.
All the best to you and yours,
    K
