A whole lotta shadows going on....

As mentioned last week on Shadow Shot, I stated walking and birding in one of our city parks located in the heart of the city. Since the post for today is heavily loaded with images, I'm going to forgo with my usual Sunday Summary. I hope you enjoy the shadowy retreat of this particular 'get away from it all' kinda spots....walk along the paths and maybe spy a friendly, familiar backyard bird or two - in the distance a slow moving creek and footbridge and if you look closely at one alcove, a natural stone watery fountain oasis for the feathered friends....

  9. Given the miles of shore you have, the trees look as if we could be hundreds of miles away - the trees look like a forest, that these woods are mere mile away from the Gulf, the contrasts are startling. We are inside a forest as it seems the only lighting we see is from above the thickets. It is a beautiful part of the Lone Star you inhabit!
