“A wise old owl lived in an oak;
The more he saw the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he heard...
Why can't we all be like that bird?”

  3. Beautiful photos Anni. I love brougainvillea but they would not be happy in our climate.

  8. Blessed are you to have such a riot of color outside your door!

    DID SOMEONE MENTION SCARLET?

    Did someone mention scarlet
    Or was it red I heard?
    Perhaps it was a varlet
    Or a vermilion bird
    That shouted out the color
    That’s dearest to my heart.
    (It makes me feel much duller
    If red is not a part.)

  9. Oh Anni, those flowers are absolutely gorgeous! You have so many kinds of plants that are not available over here due to our cold winters. Darn it! lol

    I'm feeling better every day now but still have a nagging little cough that keeps me awake during the night. Heard that Apple Cider vinegar and honey is a good old time remedy so I'm going to go to the grocery store to buy some of the ACV and give it a try. I've tried every cough syrup on the market and nothing works. At least my ear and sinus infections are pretty much gone now:-)

    I'm now going to go read all the posts I missed while I was absentee! xoxo

  13. Hi Annie Sweetie...
    Oh my gosh how beautiful this photo is. I love it. Your bush is so colorful and gorgeous. You captured its beauty SO well.

    We have these bougainvilleas out here in Phoenix. My experience with their thorns was not pleasant, going through the bottom of my flip flop, and leaving a horrid puncture in my foot, so no we don't have any in our yard.

    If you don't mind, I will enjoy yours along with you. It is exquisite. Thank you for sharing sweet friend.

    Guess what? My dashboard is up this evening. It may not stay long so I wanted to pop over while I could. So happy to see such a beautiful post to greet me. Have a glorious week sweetie. Please know that you are SO loved. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  15. Such a bright colour! A small plant to have indoors where I live (except for summer) - yours is a big bush.
