THE GLASS TUMBLER CANDLEHOLDERS are so very easy, and can fit into any occasion and any color scheme....
what I did:
The love bug glass candle holders are actually Valentine Glass Tumblers that I found at the dollar store this past week. The stamped/painted print on the tumblers are hearts and lady bugs with "Love Bug" inscribed around. What I did was purchase two bags of cut glass pieces [clear] and started filling the tumblers with the glass pieces about a quarter full....then, I placed a red taper candle into the glass, while holding the candle upright, in place, I surrounded the candlestick with more cut glass until they were filled ---like ice.... {I think it would look terrific with milk glass marbles, or red clear marbles...any color combination you'd want.} After one was steadied ---I began filling the 2nd tumbler for a matching pair, and placed them on the fireplace mantle.

FLASH FICTION 55
I'm not much for T V
very little entertains me...
I stopped on a program one night,
Sitting, watching - comedy; light!
A favorite character, Sheldon, & smart.
The show? It's top on the chart....
Four guys with high I Q's; a dumb blond to see.
View it...it's a hoot...then, you might agree!!

Thanks for looking at my show and tell. That tea set is over 63 years old. She gave me the whole thing, plates, luncheon plates, platter, dessert bowls. I use it for my Christmas China. Glad you finally made it to the south. South Texas anyway. Does that count as south?

I love those meeces to pieces, but Anni, Big Bang Theory? I love, I mean I LOVE that show!
ReplyDeleteI've been hooked since show one, I tape it on my DVR and watch it at least twice more before the next new one comes on. I own seasons one and two on DVD (the only show I've ever bought).
People think I named my dog after him, but my Sheldon is almost 12-years-old, so I them they named the character after my dog.
Never in my life have I been so obsessed with a tv show. Did you pick up on that from my comment?
you know i have only ever caught snippets of it. may just have to watch it now. nice 55.
ReplyDeletemine is up!
Omigosh, I watched that video clip and still have tears running down my face from laughing so much! I`ve never seen this show, will have to check to see if we get it here and when it`s on, that`s hilarious!! The one with glasses, what did he act in before, he looks familiar.
ReplyDeleteOh, Anni, I just love all of your Valentine decorations, it all looks so romantic:-) I don`t decorate at all for Valentine`s Day anymore. Ah heck, maybe I should at least put out a red candle!! hehe xoxo
