“A wise old owl lived in an oak;
The more he saw the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he heard...
Why can't we all be like that bird?”

Thirteen Signs Your Cat Is Plotting World Domination

[cat genius found at "Free Cat Stuff"]

1. Sits on your newspaper in the morning and carefully reads the coded message that Garfield sends out every day.

2. Used to sleep on top of TV, now monitors CNN 24 hours a day.

3. When you enter the room, Snowball and the other members of the Tri-Cateral Commission stop talking and begin playing with yarn.

4. Behind the couch you find a forged passport, plane tickets, and nine suicide bombs.

5. Well, "somebody" subscribed to -- alt.cats.world.domination.

6. Autopsy of the last mouse left on your doormat reveals "tattoo" to be blueprint of the UN Building.

7. Kitty Chow spilled on the floor spells out "Drop the car keys and leave the door open or the dog gets it in the head."

8. Then -- dead mice in the kitchen. Now -- dead third world dictators in the basement.

9. Judging from the kitchen, he seems to be working on some kind of "land mine" technology.

10. Fluffy is now sleeping only 21 hours a day, down from 23.

11. Has recently been acting somewhat... aloof.

12. What your cat lacks in charisma and good looks, he makes up for with his ruthless handling of rival software companies.

13. Somehow, you're now subscribed to "Feline of Fortune" magazine.

  1. A Shakespeare fan!! This is my favorite Shakespearean Sonnet

    SONNET 91
    Some glory in their birth, some in their skill,
    Some in their wealth, some in their bodies' force,
    Some in their garments, though new-fangled ill,
    Some in their hawks and hounds, some in their horse;
    And every humour hath his adjunct pleasure,
    Wherein it finds a joy above the rest:
    But these particulars are not my measure;
    All these I better in one general best.
    Thy love is better than high birth to me,
    Richer than wealth, prouder than garments' cost,
    Of more delight than hawks or horses be;
    And having thee, of all men's pride I boast:
    Wretched in this alone, that thou mayst take
    All this away and me most wretched make.

  4. Good Evening Anni,
    I loved your Kitty 13. Those were just too cute. I also enjoyed reading your 6 thing Meme. As you already know, I can't swim. I'm far from understanding all that kind of literature. I never was any good in that in School. I don't seem to have good luck with gardening, but I used to could grow house plants years ago. I just wonder if I still could? Hmmmm, got to wait till I get some money first. LOL. Okay, are you sometimes pregnant with the CRAVING of burned toast? ROFLMBO. I just had to throw that in there. You know me. LOL. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours. In regards to your question about the Highway Department shutting down the highway to High profile trucks, I don't know if they do that on that particular road. It's not really considered and Interstate just yet. It's in the process of being re-named I-555 when they are completely done with it. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

    Love & Hugs,
    Karen H.

  15. Thanks ! Today your TT was made for me, lol !

    PS. I subscribed to Google Reader which is really great because it informs me immediately when one of my "favourites" has published a new post. Strange thing is, although you are on my list, your posts never appear. All the others work fine like Melli for example. There must be something missing in your blog that Google can't find you. I am not experienced enough to know what it is. Maybe you should check what happens.

  29. Anni,

    I love your TT list and your meme is great. Seems we have some other things in common. Every once in a while I crave burned toast. I also love the ocean but can't swim a stroke. I can garden successfully but my house plants struggle to survive. I think I've learned that I give them too much love in the form of water.

    Enjoyed my visit, as always. Hope you are having a wonderful Thursday. It is lovely here today and I enjoyed getting out for a bit. A big difference from yesterday.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  32. Anni,

    I did enjoy being out and about today for a change. Yesterday, because of the adverse weather conditions, I didn't step outside the door.

    Michelle has green sprouts coming up in her flower garden, but I'm afraid the cold snap yesterday may have damaged them. Possibly not. It's incredible what they can withstand.

    I have a bridge phobia as well, but the video was taken in such a way it didn't bother me. It was taken from the air - a helicopter, I suspect and at such an angle you didn't realize the height. I could see the waves pounding in the background, which is unusal in Hamilton Bay. The truck may as well have been a toothpick.

    A day can make such a difference. I remember when the tornado went through this area many years ago. One day a village near here was flattened and the sky was green, yellow and black. The next, the sun was shining and you never would have known that anything had happened, except for the debris strewn around. Amazing.

    Take care and thanks for stopping by my blog. Stay safe.

    Blessings,
    Mary
